In our industry, you have to be prepared for anything.   On Saturday, our awesome Auckland team carried out their Ammonia response, Fire Warden & Fire Equipment Handling training.   "In an emergency, you call upon your training to help get you & your colleagues through it," says Mike Smith, our National Health & Safety and Compliance Manager. November, or Movember, was Men’s Health Month with particular emphasis on how to tackle Testicular Cancer. The Big Chill team decided to package an important message about testicular cancer with a cheeky reminder with a serious message about the family jewels: Early detection can save lives!! All male team members of our great team were given a pack of peanuts along with a note encouraging them to check out their own nuts. Not while driving of course …… Checking out your nuts is not hard, when in the shower all you have to do is Steam, Roll and Repeat. Interested now? Great to see the latest Volvo additions to the Big Chill fleet arrive this week. National Linehaul Manager, Jason Gilgen was there to receive the handover of the FM 500 6x4s and FH 540 8x4 tractors from Chris Iles of TR Group. We have also added another 3 Fruehauf Schmitz Cargobull Quads for the increased capacity we are experiencing and expecting. The demand for the Big Chill service continues to grow. We've got a great Kiwi summer coming up and we want our awesome customers to know that we are prepared for the increase in volume this time of year brings, and for the many new customers that have partnered with Big Chill throughout 2024, that you have made the right decision. As we come to the end of MHAW, the team at Big Chill have taken time to strengthen our community.
