About us
Campus Plus is a global brand with presence in Australia, UK and New Zealand. Since starting in Australia in 2020, Campus Plus has worked with thousands of researchers, hundreds of institutions and supported dozens of commercialisation offices across our markets. Our clients are public research organisations such as universities and Crown Research Institutes. Our goal is to support our clients to do more with less to commercialise ideas, inventions and innovations from Aotearoa New Zealand. Our products support low-cost, high-quality talent identification for research commercialisation, at scale. We do this by enabling quality engagement with researchers to identify their ‘commercialisation curiosity’, while supporting the development of their commercialisation skills and acumen. A HUGE shout out to Olivia Thompson from Lincoln Agritech Limited and Charlotte Vandermeer from The New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research Limited. Not only do both lead Campus Plus engagement for the researchers at their institutions, but they have also earned digital badge recognition for their engagement with Campus Plus webinars in 2024. Olivia earned a Gold Digital Badge and Charlotte has earned a Bronze Digital Badge. This means that Lincoln Agritech and Plant & Food both have an in-house expert to recommend webinars to their researcher cohorts. Congratulations Olivia and Charlotte!

Platform Plus is home to Campus Plus’s Researcher Questionnaire, which provides insights for improved engagement with innovative researchers to support commercialisation. In our experience, a ‘one size fits all approach’ to commercialisation is limited. Platform Plus will provide Commercialisation Offices with insights into researcher motivations for commercialisation, enabling them to effectively target resources and communicate support that resonates with every individual researcher you work with. Check out our Platform Plus video https://lnkd.in/dz3R3VYb or get in touch with us to find out how Platform Plus can turbo-charge your commercialisation activity. Complimentary access below to our recent Humanities + Social Sciences webinar-a fireside chat between Ksana Health 's Nick Allen and our own Ken Mahon. Please watch, share, learn and enjoy.
On Wednesday last week, 30 October 2024, I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Nick Allen, CEO and Founder of Ksana Health - a mental health spinout from the University of Oregon. Nick also maintains his research role with the University, providing an important evidence-based enabler of the solutions delivered by Ksana Health . Our conversation focused on Nick's own motivations and experiences of the journey through research to realisation, the lessons learned, and challenges overcome to deliver impact through commercialisation of solutions for mental health. Takeaways from our conversation: 1. Advice to his younger self would be start earlier. 2. Importance of an ongoing research relationship to maintain evidence base, currency and credibility. 3. You will need a team. The conversations like this one with Nick we are having as part of this year's Campus Plus PD+ HASS series are important to help researchers learn from those who have gone before, and investigate pathways to realise impact from humanities, arts and social sciences research. You can watch my conversation with Nick here - https://lnkd.in/gmA5TSWk. Nick McNaughton, Campus Plus NZ, Zoe Fieldhouse, Bonnie Johnson, Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia
