We're proud to support Conservation Volunteers New Zealand and the tremendous efforts of their volunteers to improve the biodiversity of waterways, helping to deliver safe water for life. Thank you for your mahi!
It's a wrap 🌱 On Saturday we were joined by 43 incredibly motivated volunteers to finish this years planting at the Papakura Stream Restoration Project in South Auckland. Not content to stop until it was all done, they pushed through despite the cold and wind to plant 1,830 plants on a wetland at Brookby Wildlife Habitat. Thanks to CMA CGM for sponsoring the event 🙏 . This brings our total plants for the year on this project to 38,410 and our all time total to 127,000. That's 127,00 new plants that are shading our waterways, stabilising stream banks, preventing pollution and sediment entering the stream and ocean, sequestering carbon and providing important food and habitat for native species. Thanks so much to everyone who has got involved over the years. A massive shout out to our partners from Beijer Ref, Mondelēz International NZ, Citycare Water, Trees That Count, Foundation North, Auckland Council and the Papakura, Manurewa and Franklin Local Boards. You're amazing. We couldn't do it without your support.
