I'm pleased to announce that Dalton Electrical Co Ltd. has been awarded #ISO17025 accreditation by IANZ for pressure calibration. This achievement, in addition to our existing accreditation for temperature calibration, solidifies our position as a leading provider of industrial instrumentation and metrology services.   We now cover pressure ranges from sensitive clean room differential pressure measurements up to high-range hydraulic pressures, and vacuum down to -98 kPa. We'd like to extend our thanks to Kirsty Russell and the team at CPS / Trescal for their support as an international authority in pressure calibration. And also to Measurement Standards Laboratory of New Zealand, who provide metrology training and technical assessments for the accreditation of calibration labs in Āotearoa - New Zealand.    A PERSONAL JOURNEY This milestone is particularly special to me. I'm proud of my work in trades and engineering, but I love science. My experience of home-schooling didn't offer many opportunities to pursue this initially. So I'm very grateful for the opportunities which I've had to grow this passion through my work in instrumentation and metrology.   I came sideways into metrology (the science of measurement) when I started with Dalton 5 years ago. The team here wanted to expand into Instrumentation and Calibration, and asked whether I'd bootstrap these two areas at Dalton. We recently revisited a water bottling production facility we had automated to install and commission a remote access solution, along with an SMS notification system. The facility often needs to run filtration overnight to ensure product availability for packaging the next day, and any stoppages can be highly detrimental. With the new system, key plant personnel now receive SMS alerts detailing any fault conditions, and then securely connect their remote PC to site and take immediate action. If necessary, they can escalate the issue to our 24/7 call-out service, allowing an automation engineer to dial in and assist promptly. This marks the third instance where we've utilized our SINEMA Remote Connect Server, hosted on an Azure Cloud Virtual Machine. We've found this setup to be incredibly reliable, offering superior connection speeds helping us with fault-finding and commissioning tasks. Additionally, we provide a portable, rugged box for clients needing temporary support, either from ourselves or OEM's.
