  • Perched atop the Made development in Hamilton East, Reggie’s is the latest addition to the precinct's vibrant dining scene, offering some of the best riverside views in town. With an approachable, unfussy take on Italian cuisine, Reggie’s combines friendly service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a beautifully designed space. Their vibe is perfectly captured by the brand positioning: “chill enough for kids, nice enough for your hot date.” Collaborating with our sister studio, Designwell, adds a unique dimension to our work—it allows us to explore the connection between brand and space – so this has been the dream project for us! If you’re in Hamilton East, make sure to visit them at the rooftop of Made, 401 Grey Street, and experience it for yourself. A huge thank-you to the incredible Waikato hospitality legends – Mat Pedley, John Moughan and Alex Williams. Big thanks to our talented and hard working team – Jackson Croucher, Charlotte Lowe, Jason Tiller and Essi Airisniemi. And as always thank you to Stark Property for the opportunity to work on incredible projects that are bringing our city to life.

We are thrilled to share one of our most iconic projects yet! Our design team had the huge privilege of partnering with Hamilton City Council to reimagine and refine the brand identity and way-finding for the Hamilton Gardens. Known internationally as a must-visit destination, Hamilton Gardens sought to elevate its visitor experience with a cohesive new brand strategy, identity, and way-finding system to support its new arrival centre and introduction of paid entry. The existing brand lacked a unified narrative, so we collaborated closely with Hamilton City Council and mana whenua to develop a cultural narrative and brand story that invites visitors to "explore a world more wonderful." This new identity is designed to welcome and immerse visitors in the unique stories of each garden, creating a memorable experience at every turn. We’re immensely proud of this project—a true testament to our team’s creativity and dedication. We can’t wait for visitors to experience Hamilton Gardens through this vibrant and meaningful new lens! Thanks to design team Jackson Croucher, Giuliana Bottari, Essi Airisniemi, Thomas Casey and Alexander Wastney. Special thanks to Eugene Kara, Te Haa o te Whenua o Kirikiriroa (THaWK), Ngaati Wairere and Mahaki Whauwhau for your mahi and collaboration on this project. Photography by Jess Koretz. • Keene Consulting, founded by Scott Keene, an experienced professional with 15 years in New Zealand’s engineering and project management sectors, provides independent Project and Development Management services across infrastructure, residential, commercial, and land development projects. Scott engaged us to assist with a refreshed identity and website. The new brand strategy positions Keene as a boutique consultancy with a bold, inviting identity that attracts high-caliber clients — both landowners who need trustworthy guidance and professionals seeking expert project support. With a tone that is personable, knowledgeable, and determined, Keene aims to inspire confidence, establish market presence, and lead transformational projects across New Zealand. Awesome work from design team Giuliana Bottari and Jason Tiller.

Designing a new destination brand for Kirikiriroa – Hamilton Zoo and Waiwhakareke are two treasured assets for Kirikiriroa, along with the Hamilton Observatory and the new eatery, Everyday. The precinct needed a new name and identity that houses and unifies the range of current and future visitor experiences focused on nature, conservation, and education. We led the cultural strategy in partnership with Te Haa o te Whenua o Kirikiriroa (THaWK), who represent the several hapu in Hamilton. As part of this engagement, the name Te Kaaroro was gifted to honour an ancestor synonymous with this part of the Waikato. Thank you to Gemma Pask, Georgina Hailwood, Lee-Ann Jordan and Tamsin Webb for leading us on this wonderful project for our city and region. Huge thanks to our team of designers who have all impacted this project – Alexander Wastney, Jess Koretz, Thomas Casey, Jazmyne Powell, Charlotte Lowe and Jackson Croucher. • Harrows are a family-owned, regional business that designs and makes beautiful, tailored, commercial hospitality furniture – put simply, "crafted for connection" is their purpose. We created a new brand strategy and identity that celebrated and communicated this core positioning. The result is a more sophisticated and consistent brand system that creates the foundation for their ambitions to be the champions of social spaces. Project lead by our talented Creative Director Jackson Croucher

  • For over four decades, Pepler’s has been making delicious condiments by hand using locally grown ingredients. We were approached by Paul and Jane to create an enduring brand that better communicates Pepler’s ambition to become synonymous across New Zealand with innovative and mouth-watering condiments. Starting like we always do, with deep insights into who Pepler’s are and who they want to be, we settled on the brand concept you can see below. The key brand indicators of hand-crafted, premium and distinctive have guided our design process across a myriad of brand touchpoints. #brandidentity #logodesign
