We're saddened that our wonderful friend and colleague, Ruth Tate, will be leaving us. However, we're pleased that she'll have the chance to enjoy a well-deserved break in 2025. ✨ Ruth has been part of our whānau for 12 years. During this time, she has worked across numerous schools and in kāhui ako. She has advocated for dual medium and Māori-medium settings and has guided our company towards giving greater effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Ruth has been our Te Rau Huia team leader and a professional development facilitation team leader. She has been a member of Te Korowai Māori and has used her knowledge and experience to support facilitators with their te reo Māori pronunciation, knowledge of tikanga, and how to best enact Te Tiriti o Waitangi. 🌟 We will truly miss Ruth’s kindness, her thoughtful queries, and her sense of aroha for all of us. Today, we say a heartfelt farewell to two truly remarkable colleagues, Diana Peri and Trish Manson. ❤️ After more than five decades dedicated to education, Diana leaves behind a wonderful legacy. Her career has seen her move through varied roles, from special education teaching for hearing-impaired students to her impactful tenure as Principal of Oranga School in Auckland. Her work as a Principal Advisor since 2019 has been a privilege for those of us fortunate to have worked alongside her. Her skill and encouragement have helped many navigate the complexities of leadership with confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose. 🌱 Trish’s work has always been focused on what matters most: raising student achievement and reducing disparity. With her clear and evidence-based approach, Trish guided teachers to reflect on what was working well, identify areas for improvement, and take ownership of the changes needed to make a real difference for their students.
