Film Club

We run a fun and unique club in Panmure (Auckland) for all ages. Over a period of 8-weeks, our actors of all levels have fun acting in pre-selected famous scenes from movies and television shows. We do this with whatever props we can find, matching the lighting and set as best we can, though the actual performance takes priority over matching everything exactly! Scripts will be sent out at the start of each week for the actors to learn and memorise before class. Don’t worry if your memory isn’t the best, we make sure that the scenes we choose are short. Each class will then begin with an icebreaker/warm-up, before moving on to the filming of the scenes. Everyone will get several attempts at their scene, with direction given between each one to help their performance. The following week the final scenes are edited and exported into videos to watch back and enjoy and/or utilise for showreels.
