With 125 nominations from across the country and the support of 21 dedicated judges across 10 award categories, the evening showcased the passion, innovation, and impact driving entrepreneurship in New Zealand. 🎉 2024 Award Recipients: 🏆 Entrepreneur of the Year: Cynthia Hunefeld, Evithé Biotechnology 🏆 Social Entrepreneur of the Year: Melanie Langlotz, Geo AR 🏆 Youth Entrepreneur of the Year: Jean-Luc Ellis, WasteXperts 🏆 Entrepreneur Support Organisation of the Year: Ministry of Awesome 🏆 Youth Programme of the Year: He Rangatahi He Anamata by Toi Kai Rawa 🏆 Māori Initiative of the Year: Te Hapori Matihiko 🏆 Regional Trailblazer of the Year: Startup Dunedin 🏆 Investor of the Year: AIM - Angel Investors Marlborough 🏆 Mentors of the Year: Colart Miles & Richard Liew 🏆 Connector of the Year: Brian Dawson GEN NZ Chair Dave Moskovitz perfectly captured the spirit of the evening: “This year’s award recipients showcase the passion, innovation, and impact shaping New Zealand’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) was created by the communities that celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) each November to serve as a platform for coordinating and developing new programs and initiatives aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship around the world. They engage and connect key stakeholders across their national ecosystem and leverage the communities, resources, and expertise from relevant counterparts from within GEN’s 170 nation strong network.
