Not only do I get to collaborate with an amazing team including Annalise Russell, Sam Keall & Erin Dailey but I also get to drink a lot of Havana's delicious coffee. Is it just me, or does EOY reporting feel like running a marathon in the last mile of the year? If you’re staring at spreadsheets, drowning in data, and counting down the days until holiday break—then you're in good company because SAME. But all marketers know the year isn't over until the EOY report is turned in. So, if you’re dragging your feet to the finish line, here are the 3 steps I've been using to 👏 get 👏it 👏 done 👏 and finish 2024 strong 💪 📈 Step 1/ GATHER YOUR DATA Focus on the essentials so it doesn’t feel overwhelming, such as: - KPIs achieved vs benchmarks - Top-performing campaigns, assets, or keywords - Audience insights/analysis - Leads or sales generated 🪡 Step 2: WEAVE THE NARRATIVE Remember, data without a story is just numbers, and a story without data is just noise. Find the balance in both with your audience in mind. Your audience might not care that “clicks went up while CPC went down” but does care about the overall impact. Keep it relevant, and consider including a punchy executive summary. 🌅 Step 3: SET THE STAGE FOR 2025 This is where data meets strategy—helping you set the stage for an even stronger 2025. - What worked and should continue next year? - What didn’t work and needs to go? - Where are the opportunities to try something new? Is your B2B content falling flat? Try making it personal… check out these tips from Juvi.
“Personal content doesn’t work for B2B.” I hate to break it to you, but that’s not true. And I've proved it with a client recently. I had a client ask me this week how to get more engagement on their posts. They were doing *everything right* ✅ Posting 5x a week ✅ Cranking out 3 industry blog articles weekly ✅ Building a newsletter close to 1k subscribers. But here’s the problem: their posts weren’t hitting. ❌ Likes and engagement barely scraped double digits. Why? Because they only posted promotional and educational content, which is a common theme for B2B. So I challenged them: Post more personal content. They gave it a shot, sharing a casual phone snap from their recent office opening. It wasn’t fancy—just people chatting, smiling, enjoying the moment. The caption was simple: a thank-you to their community and an open invite to stop by. The result? 📈 Record-breaking engagement 📈 Overnight, the post had more interaction than anything they’d ever shared. The Lesson learned: Personal content works in B2B. If you want to experiment, here’s how to start: 1. RELAX THE VISUALS. Skip the polished headshots—use images that feel human, fun, and authentic. Everyone loves a good BTS moment! 2. WRITE HOW YOU TALK. Keep the caption informal and conversational. 3. TAG, TAG, TAG. If people are in the photo, tag them! It invites others into the conversation and expands your reach to new networks. 4. INVITE OTHERS TO ENGAGE. Encourage interaction with a relevant question—it makes engaging easy and natural.
