Last Friday, we had the absolute privilege of hosting our 10th annual auction for Pillars Ka Pou Whakahou, and we are thrilled to share that we raised over $40,000! This incredible result was made possible by the generous donations from those who attended on the night and many others who contributed behind the scenes. We feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by such a supportive community that continues to make this event a success year after year. We’ve received some wonderful feedback, and we wanted to share a snippet that reminds us why we are so passionate about supporting a charity so close to our hearts: "In my many years of life and work experience in England and New Zealand, I have not witnessed a better example of selflessness and support for an organisation’s kaupapa and purpose. You truly go beyond what any of our Pillars team could ever expect. This year’s success is even more remarkable given the challenges we’ve faced, and the results speak volumes about the dedication of everyone involved. Our Pillars tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau are the true beneficiaries of your generosity." A massive thank you to everyone who made this event possible—whether you joined us on the night or supported us with a donation, we deeply appreciate you all! Our thank yous could go on forever, but we want to extend a special thank you to Brad Wheeler and the team at EY for the use of their beautiful offices, and to Jennifer Harper and Abby Cox from Pillars. To Dale Gray, Liam Turner, Richard Gray-Smith, Troy Turner MRCSA and the INSIDE team, your hard work and dedication made this event a fantastic success!

Pillars Ka Pou Whakahou is a charity that actively supports tamariki and whānau of people in prison or those serving a community-based sentence. INSIDE are incredibly proud to support the charity by way of providing a direct cash contribution to the organisation each year, providing recruitment support and fundraising support to an annual auction that raises a critical funds for the charity. Great news……. the annual auction is back on the 18th of October!! This event is your chance to support tamariki on their journey to a brighter future—all while bidding on exclusive, one-of-a-kind experiences. Hosted by the wonderful Miriama Kamo, this evening will be filled with stories that show exactly how your support makes a difference. Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters like you, we raised a record-breaking $62,000! That funding went into Pillars Ka Pou Whakahou services, supporting whānau with kai, resources and advocacy as they journey to a more positive future; giving experiences that changes the trajectory of their lives like: · their first trip to the beach · a day at the zoo with their mentors · meeting their rugby heroes for the first time · becoming advocates for other tamariki This event isn’t just about raising funds; it’s about walking alongside tamariki and whānau as they create positives for themselves. Your presence at this year’s auction will help us continue to provide these life-changing experiences that allow tamariki to reach higher, dream bigger, and create more positive futures.
