From the moment guests step through the striking bespoke doors, they are immersed in an atmosphere that fuses contemporary design with cultural richness. Inspired by the vibrant spices and heat of Chinese cuisine, the palette of deep reds, intricate textures, and ambient lighting creates a dynamic yet welcoming space. Every detail of the design reflects the ethos of Cāntīng—celebrating tradition while embracing modernity. From layered textures to bespoke features, the space is a visual and sensory delight that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. We are excited to unveil our latest project, the Auckland City Office (ACO), a recently completed, high-quality office transformation. This 430sqm space has been thoughtfully reimagined, turning a blank canvas into a dynamic and functional workplace. The design strategically divides the area, balancing privacy with collaboration. Custom cabinetry throughout the open-plan office area defines different zones while maintaining an open-plan feel. These partitions distinguish key areas such as the main workstations, a breakout meeting zone, and a designated lunch space for informal gatherings.   The design aesthetic incorporates subtle nods to the building’s art deco heritage, blending clean lines, geometric forms, and bespoke finishes that pay homage to 1920s architecture. A sculptural reception area sets the tone for the space, combining meticulous detail with sophistication to welcome both clients and colleagues with warmth and understated elegance. Izzard, in collaboration with Tennent Brown Architects Ltd , is proud to announce our Bronze win at the 2024 Best Design Awards for Willis Lane! 🥉 Nestled beneath the iconic 1 Willis Street, this project reimagines Wellington's underground, transforming a disused food court into a vibrant urban hub. By blending industrial elements—recycled brick, exposed beams, and archways—with contemporary design, Willis Lane harmonizes heritage with modern functionality. Its tactile, layered spaces create an inviting atmosphere, catering to the city’s workers by day and energising visitors by night.
