What a finish! Seven of our team successfully crossed the finish line at the Motatapu Off-Road Event today in Central Otago, before celebrating with clients and friends in our sponsor's tent. We've been sponsoring the event since 2020, supporting thousands of people as they tackle the picturesque trail - this year including our very own Sam Nelson, Ben Russell, Anna Walker, Elizabeth Rolph, Kieran Miller, Gwen Drewitt and Michael Quested. With moral support from Andrew Shaw and Michelle Needham. We just love to get out into the communities we work in - read more about our community support here: https://bit.ly/3xBUVaI #motatapu #arrowtown #centralotago #offroad

It was wonderful to get together with some of our special clients yesterday afternoon for an exclusive tour of the beautiful Ravenscar House Museum in Ōtautahi Christchurch. It was a stunning backdrop as we enjoyed kai, kōrero and art with a selection of the female leaders that make this city tick. We look forward to seeing you all again soon. And a special thanks to our female Partners who were the driving force behind the event: Fiona McMillan Anna Ryan Rachael Mason Ellen Sewell Evelyn Jones Sarah Duncraft Michelle Needham #ravenscarhousemuseum #womenleaders

Professional growth, practical real-life experience and camaraderie were recurring themes as our 2024/2025 summer clerks reflected on working for Lane Neave over the past 12 weeks. We’ve had the pleasure of hosting nine clerks over the summer – Briah Allen, Kaitlin Windmeyer and Lucy Larkin (Auckland); Rebecca Dean, Leilani Guinea, Charlie Owens and Jane Tingey (Christchurch); and Leo Holt and Brianna Hartley (Queenstown). We thank them for their significant contributions to teams across the firm and wish them well as they complete their studies. Our summer clerkship programme provides law students with valuable first-hand legal experience and is also the main way we source candidates for graduate positions. Applications for the 2025/26 summer clerk programme open in two weeks on 3 March 👉 more info: https://lnkd.in/gvgND9Ss

We're proud to have been sponsoring the Motatapu Off-Road Event in beautiful Central Otago since 2020, with a number of our people and clients providing additional support by taking part. It's less than two weeks until race day and one of our Queenstown crew, Solicitor Elizabeth Rolph, reckons that she’s mentally and physically prepared for it. It’s her second year tackling the trail so she knows what to expect, has upped her training from last year – plus has a target to beat the time of one of her colleagues. “I found the steep start the most challenging part last year, but I feel like I’m better prepared now I know it’s coming. It’s pretty cool scenery which also helps you to push through on the day.” Wishing all of our competitors the best of luck for Saturday 1 March.
