Business Networking in the Waikato. Grab a drink, something to eat, and share a story or two. Be inspired.
About us
LinkedIn Local Hamilton is a networking event in Waikato, New Zealand. Connect with other local professionals and build relationships. It's more like a cocktail party than traditional networking. LinkedIn Local is a free business networking event, where you get a free bite to eat, a drink or two, and a chance to chat with influential people in the local business community. Meet that person behind the Linkedin profile that you enjoy reading their posts or watching their videos. Make meaningful connections with like-minded others in the Waikato. We've moved past the days of shoving business cards into people's faces when we meet them. That's not how business works in 2019. It's a digital world - you can easily find someone online after you've met them, and send them a message or email if there could be a mutual benefit. LinkedIn Local is a non-selling event. Enjoy a beer or a wine, a bite to eat and a laugh in a casual setting without getting a sales pitch from a complete stranger. Get to know some new people, and bump into old friendly faces. We're a community. People do business with people they like and trust. Make a connection first, and then build authentic relationships. That's the best part about LinkedInLocal - after 8 events here in Hamilton, plenty of lifelong friendships have been made. The business has been done. 👉The three foundations of #LinkedinLocal are: 🤝 People Worth Meeting 🗣️ Stories Worth Sharing 🍻 Collaboration, Not Competition You can just follow this page for photos and videos of previous events, and updates on the next event. Thanks for supporting Linkedin Local. The good local Hamilton people help it happen. ✌️

💥 Speaker Profile for 'Building a brand from the Waikato' 💥 Darrel Hadley - Co-Founder, Good George Brewing. In 2011, after years of working in hospitality and brewing, a group of Waikato friends decided to create their own craft brewery. Good George was then born from an old church in an industrial area of Frankton, Hamilton. Just over ten years later, Good George's products are in liquor stores and supermarkets across the country, many of which have won various awards, and they have 14 bar/restaurant venues. Darrel did a law degree at Waikato University and managed the Outback Inn bar at 22, before spending a year in London. Upon returning to Hamilton, Darrel cofounded the Phoenix Group which set the path for the Good George success story. Looking forward to hearing an awesome #Waikato success story this Friday night! Hope to see you there at Waikato Sheds!!
