· Make │ NZ is a tightly knit community, wholly focused on improving what we do in manufacturing. · We care about manufacturing – each of us in our own factory, and across New Zealand. We improve what we do by learning from others, sharing what we know, and using our international connections - because … no one knows everything, but together, we know a whole lot more. · The strength of Make │ NZ is in the people who form its community. Their knowledge and insights are shared with confidence, and in-confidence, in the networks created by Make │ NZ. · We are a community, not a ‘membership organisation’. That’s what makes us different. We express our commitment through participation and contribution, not through paying a membership fee. · Our community is made up of leaders in manufacturing at all levels – from Team Leader to Managing Director. It is open to manufacturing leaders across New Zealand through its online platform; in-person events will for now be offered in Canterbury only. · Our online platform, launching soon, will provide a forum for learning and sharing - at a generic level, and in subgroups where manufacturing leaders with a particular interest, or those with similar operational roles, can come together. · We keep Make │ NZ’s community up-to-date and informed about latest developments in manufacturing in New Zealand and abroad. We encourage and welcome contributions from the Make │ NZ community, including short video clips describing smart solutions to common problems, for example. · We are the dedicated voice of manufacturing for Canterbury and beyond through our participation in the Manufacturing Alliance – a broad group of manufacturing industry associations.
