I would like to give a HUGE shoutout and thank you to our Mastip global team. Through amazing teamwork and determination our team was able to provide our customer a complex bolt on hot half in near record time. In late September, our customer reached out to task us with manufacturing a 3-drop sequential valve gated Hot Half system in a <4 week delivery window. Mastip had the system designed in less than one week and had the system manufactured/assembled/tested and shipped less than three weeks after we received approval. Feeding 72 grams of LCP with 35% Glass Fiber are three MX Series Valve Gate nozzle assemblies and MVG pin actuators with parallel pins. Providing a complete package solution, this system included a Mastip Temperature Controller and a Sequential Valve Gate Controller. We would like to offer a sincere thank you to our customer for involving Mastip in this fascinating project. Mastip hot runner systems are known for being robust and service friendly. Our engineering team is always looking for ways to make things better. While working through a challenging color change application, our customer reached out to our team for support. While purging from black to white material they were struggling to get little black spots out of the white color. Mastip recently released this Spiral Tip for improved color change, and we were excited to have our customer use them in this application. After swapping out the traditional torpedo tip, they were able to quickly eliminate the black specs and begin processing parts almost immediately. We received a very nice email with their thanks and gratitude for significantly improving their process and reducing their scrap cost. For this application Mastip supplied a 350mm (13.77”) length Thermal Gate nozzle assembly paired with an offset manifold to feed 840 grams of Polypropylene. Mastip truly does “make things better” and is committed to providing unmatched support to our customers.
