We are proud to announce that our TechTest Services team has successfully completed the final testing and commissioning of the BESS Grid Connections project at the Morwell Terminal Station, marking practical completion. Situated in the Latrobe Valley, 152 km east of Melbourne, Victoria, the team has worked tirelessly toward this milestone since January 2024. Richard Pawlik, General Manager, Infrastructure Investment at AusNet Services, praised the achievement, saying, "The Latrobe BESS site looks fantastic—you should be proud of the team." This accomplishment highlights the strong collaboration between TechTest and AusNet Services, underpinned by a shared commitment to safety and the exceptional dedication of our crews. Omexom Australia is excited to announce its success at the 2024 VINCI Environmental Awards, where we secured five prestigious awards for the Oceania region! The Asset Services Business unit won 1st prize in the "Mitigation" category for the innovative WoodScan Predictive Analysis initiative, while the Smart Lighting business unit also took 1st prize in the “1.5° Challenge” category for its Streetlight Maturity Framework submission. Our Asset Services team introduced the WoodScan Predictive Analysis initiative, an advanced pole testing system that uses infrasonic technology to detect internal damage in wooden poles. This system provides real-time data to predict failure risks and estimate pole lifespan. Previously, clients could only plan pole replacements and inspections one year in advance. Now, with MS Power BI, WoodScan supports a ten-year replacement strategy, enhancing planning, budgeting, and risk management. This technology also helps reduce bushfire risks, potentially preventing the release of 21 million tonnes of CO2 by minimizing electrical infrastructure-related fires. The Streetlight Maturity Framework was developed by the Smart Lighting Business Unit in collaboration with Intern and PhD candidate at The Australian National University (ANU), Danny Bettay. This framework provides municipalities with a lens through which they can assess the maturity of their approach to outdoor lighting. Omexom's LED luminaire upgrade for the City of Canberra has reduced energy use and emissions by over 50%. Smart lighting systems added an additional 15% reduction, with dynamic lighting controls expected to achieve a further 15%, bringing the total reduction to 90% compared to the original emissions levels. Additionally, our Smart Lighting business unit earned three more awards: 2nd prize for the Streetlight Maturity Framework in the “Mitigation” category, 2nd prize for Water Management and Smart Cities in the “Water” category, and 3rd prize for Water Management and Smart Cities for the “Jury’s” award. These achievements are a credit to our teams and highlight the remarkable innovation happening across the company. #smartlighting #smartcities #environment #energytransition #weareomexom #emissionreduction Omexom VINCI Energies Mauricio Mora Peter Bell Michael Rosetta Fraser Trevaskis Anna (Duckstein) Franco Liam Frilay Camila Alfonso Abi Croutear-Foy AquaWatch Larry Lawson Tanya Shetty Jeff Morgan Danny Bettay Tim Gonzales SnapCore Nicolas Oberle

Over the past six months, our Graduate Data Analyst, Niscayan Govender has been on a mission to make the city of Canberra smarter and greener!   First up, the Adaptive Lighting program—where streetlights dim during quiet traffic hours. The result? A 15% drop in greenhouse gas emissions helping to achieve the net zero target and a clearer night sky giving astronomers at Mount Stromlo Observatory a better view of the stars!   Next, Nis jumped into the Mulligans Flat Light Study which tests advanced street lighting technology to reduce light pollution and blue light radiation. The trial focuses on energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and public safety, comparing data from traditional and new luminaries. Community feedback is also being gathered to evaluate satisfaction with the lighting changes.   Then came Kingston, where he helped roll out the AI-powered Smart Parking System. No more circling for spots—drivers are guided straight to open bays, cutting down on emissions. We have even set up sensors around the city to keep tabs on CO2, noise, and storm water.   And let’s not forget the Waka 5, a high-tech water sensor that tracks pollutants and keeps our waterways healthy. The sensors measure the vital signs in waterways, including the detection of pollutants, dangerous temperature levels, and an unhealthy PH balance, all of which can greatly affect the ecosystem.   From lights to parking to water, it's been a fun, eco-friendly ride for Nis and the team at Omexom Australia! Tapping into the great potential of our graduates to drive new initiatives and improve process is a mutually beneficial program to contribute to our long-term business objectives. #energytransition #weareomexom #energyefficiency #smartparking #watersensors #ecosystem #streetlights #emissions AquaWatch VINCI Energies Michael Rosetta Mauricio Mora

In the spirit of giving back to the community, Omexom Australia recently organized a food donation drive to support Father Bob’s Pantry. Employees across all departments have come together to contribute non-perishable food items to help those in need. The pantry, known for its ongoing efforts to assist vulnerable families is a legacy to Father Bob's commitment that we welcome, embrace, accept, and care for the most vulnerable. This initiative not only highlighted Omexom’s commitment to community welfare but also strengthened the bond between staff as they rallied together for a meaningful cause. This collective effort reinforces the company’s dedication to making a positive impact beyond the workplace. Today at Omexom Australia, we came together to acknowledge R U OK DAY, with a focus on looking after our mind and body. Our Bodycare Workplace Solutions physiotherapist introduced us to the spikey ball program—a simple self-massage tool that helps relieve muscle tension and pain. We all tried it out and felt the benefits! Whether for our field staff or the more desk-bound office team, it’s something that everyone can benefit from, to alleviate body stress. We also discovered the "Smiling mind" app, a free mindfulness and meditation tool for stress relief, better sleep, emotional balance, and overall mental health—and the best part? It’s simple to weave into everyday life! A standout moment of the day was our conversation about values. Aligning our actions with our beliefs offers us structure, purpose, and emotional balance, which can support our mental well-being. Staying focused on what truly matters and remaining true to our core principles is important as we navigate through life's journey. Gratitude, kindness, and open communication were the big takeaways from today. Sometimes, it’s the little things—like appreciating a beautiful flower—that makes all the difference. And a little kindness goes a long way, especially when we remember that everyone is facing their own challenges beneath the surface. #weareomexom #mentalhealth #ruokday VINCI Energies Mauricio Mora Simon Neiger
