We recommend Kasco Circulators https://lnkd.in/gZqi2ypC to effectively keep water clean by creating a continuous water flow, dispersing debris and inhibiting algae and weed growth. With various sizes available, these circulators can be mounted flexibly to cover large areas, improving both the appearance and usability of the water. Discover more about how circulators work and their benefits on our website or contact us. NZ: info@parklink.co.nz AU: info@parklink.com.au #WaterCirculation #Circulators #Parklink #WaterSolutions

How circulators keep Boat Docks and Marinas clear of floating debris. Boat docks and marinas often face challenges like algae growth, weed accumulation, and floating debris. These issues not only affect the aesthetics of the water but can also have negative impacts on the ecosystem and usability. A simple and reliable means of keeping the surface clear of weed, debris and algae is water circulation. Circulators are submerged devices, powered by an electric motor that utilise high-speed propellers to create water movement, preventing stagnant areas and the accumulation of floating weed, algae and debris. Parklink has again achieved SiteWise Gold for the 2024/2025 assessment year! 🥇 Site Safe New Zealand Inc SiteWise is a prequalification system that grades a contractor’s health & safety capability and publishes that grade in a database that can be viewed by main contractor’s and principal organisations. This allows for better contractor selection and an easier tendering process for everyone involved. Achieving SiteWise Gold means Parklink has demonstrated that high-quality health and safety systems are in place. To us, a SiteWise Gold achievement provides independent validation that we can keep our staff and those that we work with safe. You can find our certificates here: https://lnkd.in/gpfkWJin #SiteWiseGold #GetHomeSafe #Parklink #WaterForLife

Our team visited the US last month where we are running trials on our OxyJet aeration system. The team inspected early prototypes which US lake management companies see great potential in. OxyJet is a patent-pending technology and a game-changer for pond aeration and ultimately pond health and appearance. OxyJet achieves a much higher Dissolved Oxygen (DO) level than traditional aeration units and it also works throughout the entire water column (as opposed to just at the surface). Additionally, when oxygen-enriched water is used for irrigation, studies show increased nutrient uptake, improved disease resistance, and lower watering requirements for turf and plants. #Florida #OxyJet #Aeration #ParklinkSolutions

It’s getting to that time of the year…mosquito season! Mosquitoes and midge flies often breed in stagnant ponds, creating both nuisance and health risks. To control these pests: 1: Identify anything outside that holds water, such as containers, watering cans, ceramic pots, gutters, bird baths, old tires, and even potholes, and take action to prevent water from pooling or becoming stagnant 2. Drill holes in the bottom of your outdoor planters and recycling containers so that water will drain and not be collected. 3. Keep roof gutters clear and clean so that leaves don’t plug the drains. 4. Introduce floating fountains or submersed aerators into lakes and ponds to increase circulation and create an undesirable habitat. 5. Apply Parklink’s SELECT-Midge Product to lakes and ponds as an environmentally-friendly alternative to chemical pesticides. Overall, keep water active as this discourages pests and supports a balanced ecosystem, ideal for any pond or lake. #MosquitoSeason #PestControl #Parklink #WaterforLife

Did you know? Filamentous Algae (aka string algae) can spread within days and cause severe damage to your pond or lake. 🟢How you identify it: Filamentous Algae normally grow on the surface of hard objects or other substrates under the water but they can break loose and form large floating mats. It will also cling to things, such as your shoreline, and leave traces of scum on rocks and other objects in the water. In the right conditions, Filamentous Algae can take over a water body within days, causing an unsightly problem for pond managers. 🟢Why it happens: Warm temperatures, poor water quality and/or too many nutrients in the water can cause excessive algae growth. 🟢What you do about it: Physical removal such as raking it out. Labour-intensive but effective for small ponds. Be sure to pile it up away from the pond to avoid nutrients returning to the pond as it breaks down. Chemical treatment with algaecides. Always use according to the label/at label rates. Do not treat the entire pond area all at once because when the algae dies, oxygen is consumed as it breaks down. Too much dying/dead algae can deplete the oxygen in the water leading to fish kills and odour issues. Prevent growth by reducing the nutrient loading on the pond and with biological additives to consume nutrients in the pond sediment and water column. Dyes can also be used to reduce sunlight penetration, blocking photosynthesis. #AlgaeControl #WaterForLife #TrustedSolutions #Parklink

🟢Pond Product Pick🟢 Parklink pond dyes are a highly concentrated blend of nontoxic, odourless, environmentally friendly dyes. How do they work? Algae and weeds require sunlight to grow. Parklink’s pond dyes modify the water column so red spectrum wavelengths are partially blocked. This interrupts the photosynthesis process thereby restricting submerged algae and weeds from growing. Viola, clearer water! Additionally, the dye aesthetically enhances the colour of the water and hides unsightly features at the bottom of the pond.
