We loved working on this living room, kitchen and laundry project for an architectural new build in Waikawa Beach. The walls and selected faces of the furniture are birch plywood mixed with Futura Matt Black from PlyTech.

We all love cooking with gas, but have you considered the benefits of switching to induction? ✅ Boils water faster than gas ✅ Safer and cleaner: no harmful fumes or added moisture in your home ✅ Precise temperature control for perfect results every time ✅ A breeze to clean with no messy grates ✅ Never worry about running out of gas again ✅ Maximise your investment in solar panels and a house battery 💡 Tip: Ensure your electrical system is ready—most induction cooktops need a dedicated 240V circuit with a breaker rated for 40 to 50 amps. A registered electrician can help you get set up. ⚠️ Two Considerations: 1. If the grid is down and you don’t have a house battery, you can’t use your induction stove. Keep a camping stove as a backup for emergencies. 2. Induction cooktops require compatible cookware (e.g., pots and pans with magnetic bases), which might mean replacing some of your kitchenware. 🌟 What do you think?
