📢 Applications are still open for the six available roles on the AMA Board. 📅 Nominations will be accepted until February 5th, 2025
🌟 Join Me in Advocating for Manufacturing in NZ! 🌟 As the Chair of AMA, I am excited to announce the opportunity to join our board and help shape the future of manufacturing in New Zealand. Our mission is to grow productivity, global competitiveness, and the attractiveness of our sector to the next generation. This is an entirely voluntary role, but by working together as a sector, we are and will continue to make a difference. Following a restructuring of our board in late 2024, we have expanded from 6 to 10 directors, including 4 Board appointed and 6 Member elected each year. We are looking for collaborative individuals from across all manufacturing sectors and geographic regions who are ambitious for their own company's growth and the wider advancement of the NZ manufacturing sector. If you are passionate about advocating for manufacturing and want to contribute to our mission, I encourage you to consider this opportunity. Together, we can drive positive change and ensure a thriving future for our industry. Let's make a difference together! 💪 https://lnkd.in/ge4riWqN #ManufacturingNZ #AMA #BoardElection #Advocacy #FutureOfManufacturing

Why Additive Manufacturing (AM) is Taking Aerospace to New Heights! ✈️ The aerospace industry is soaring to new levels of innovation and efficiency with AM. Here’s why it’s the future of aerospace: 🌟Lightweight and strong: AM allows for the creation of complex and lightweight structures that maintain strength and durability, crucial for aerospace applications. 💡 Cost effective: Lower production costs by reducing the need for expensive tooling and minimising material wastage. 🛠️ Complex Geometries: Create intricate parts that traditional methods can’t produce, enhancing performance and innovation. 🌍 Sustainability: Lightweighting components means less fuel is needed, which supports a greener aerospace industry. Find out how Renishaw helped Tronosjet Manufacturing achieve FAA certification for a safety-critical AM part 👉 https://lnkd.in/g6PUcMkQ #Aerospace #AdditiveManufacturing #3Dprinting #Innovation #Design #Renishaw #ApplyInnovation #Metal3DPrinting

‘Twas the Friday before XMAS and all through the workshop Ev’ry machine was looking quite tidy, from bottom to top. See all the RAM3D staff now, so chipper and merry, With visions of time off (from tomorrow ‘til January) Dancing through their heads as they wait for the kettle, Knowing on their return, it’ll be back to 3D printing metal: “Now Programming, now Printing, now on to Post-Process Parts in Titanium -- or Inconel -- or, of course, Stainless Then on to QC’ing, then -- finally -- Packing and Dispatch To our wonderful customers, whether a one-off or full batch.” We can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for us here, ‘Til then, Merry Christmas to all -- and a Happy New Year!
