We’re delighted to share that Icon has successfully completed the Transport Hub 01 for Auckland Airport. The previous open-air carpark has been transformed into a world class transportation hub, with an expansive public realm and landscaping works that significantly enhance the experience of travellers and visitors alike. The project was delivered through a number of separable portions to Auckland Airport to minimise disruption to the travellers or guests experience. In the last 27 months we have constructed the 75,000m2, five storey carpark which incorporated a market leading post tensioned slab design and is aiming for a Gold Parksmart Certification sustainability rating. There are 680m of new covered walkways, extensive landscaping and open spaces which create the contemporary plaza areas. The Transport Hub features a large rooftop solar array, capable of generating 1.2MW of power. We congratulate the entire project team who worked diligently from the start of this project from design through to its recent completion. A special thanks to Auckland Airport for the opportunity to build and deliver this expansive facility, the AIAL team, Project Manager TSA Riley, our subcontractors, suppliers, and territorial authorities who have been our partners on this journey of delivering this significant facility. Congratulations to Willis Bond, LT McGuinness Ltd. & Tauranga City Council on the recent milestone, which is set to be the largest modern mass timber office building in New Zealand once complete! Due for completion in 2025, 90 Devonport Road will set new standards for sustainability in development and construction in New Zealand, targeting a reduction of all-of life-carbon of more than 60%, and 6 Green Star and five-star NABERS ratings, and will become the new home for Tauranga City Council!

Terrific mahi from our team on the recent completion of the Hotel Indigo Auckland & 51 Albert Residences project. For the last three years the project team have worked tirelessly to deliver this 42-storey tower on a postage-stamp sized site, within a Class B listed heritage façade. The project consists of a new 4.5-star lifestyle brand hotel with 225 guest rooms, hotel guest amenities, luxury residential apartments on the top thirteen floors, retail space, and iconic food and beverage offerings all under one roof.
