Toyota New Zealand Limited
Motor Vehicle Manufacturing
It’s not the power of our engines that make us one of New Zealand’s most trusted brands. It’s the power of our people.
About us
How has Toyota stayed one of New Zealand’s most well-known, trusted, and biggest-selling brands for more than 30 years? It’s all down to attitude. Our approach is the same as most Kiwis - we think on our feet, find creative solutions, and always have time for a laugh. By making sure that we’ve got the right people on our team, we can offer our customers great experiences. Although we are owned by Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan, we’re still very much an NZ company - run by locals, for locals. We have independent stores in just about every city in New Zealand, our own Signature Class plant in Thames, plus corporate offices in Auckland and Palmerston North. No matter where in the country you are, you’re never far away from one of our teams. In turn, we love getting the opportunity to support our local communities, and we work hard to earn our reputation for quality and reliability every day. We’re always on the lookout for great people to join our Toyota family - if you’re interested in learning more, then check out our careers website. You’ll be able to read all about the departments that make Toyota what it is, staff stories, our shared values, and see any current vacancies. You can also contact us any time at careers@toyota.co.nz

We are pleased to have been able to launch the 2024 Sustainability Report today at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in Auckland. Paddy Gower took time out of his busy touring schedule to host an informal event that showcased our sustainability ambitions, as well as what we’ve achieved this year. We are committed to driving New Zealand forward together. We are reducing carbon emissions from our business operations and from all the vehicles we sell. We have set ourselves a target of a 46% carbon reduction across all our operations and vehicle sales by 2030. We acknowledge the target is ambitious, but that’s no reason to give up. By working with our suppliers and business partners to reduce emissions from our operations, and by continuing to develop our multi-powertrain strategy, we remain committed to the target. Our 2024 Sustainability Report outlines the challenges we have in reducing our emissions but also highlights the many achievements during the year that everyone in the Toyota NZ family has contributed to. We have helped countless community groups and athletes through Store and national sponsorships. We have found new ways to reduce energy use and waste. We have supported Toyota Stores around the country to install solar panels on their roofs. And we continue to invest in hydrogen business opportunities. All of this adds up to reducing our impact on the environment and improving the wellbeing of the communities we live in. We’re on a journey to provide mobility for all. And to get there, we’ve put sustainability at the heart of everything we do. Read the 2024 Sustainability report here: https://lnkd.in/e5YhgVst
