The results of Sime Darby Motor Group (NZ) Ltd's 2023 Top Tech programme have been announced... Willem Theron from the Truckstops Taupo team beat all comers to take out first place, winning the $2,500 top prize! Willem received six peer nominations in addition to that of his Branch Manager Dean Pine – the most peer nominations received by any Top Tech competitor this year. Pine commented, “Willem is extremely reliable and consistent. He’s the first one in and the last one out at night. He’s a fantastic problem-solver who loves getting trucks out the door. All his dealings with workmates and customers are very professional and he loves the product. He was trained by Volvo Trucks in South Africa but has also worked on a wide range of brands.
