Yesterday we ran a panel discussion for our kaimahi focused on understanding the potential of AI for business (and a few of the limitations too!). A big mihi to panellists Nyssa Waters from Being AI Group, and Katherine Jensen who’s working on her PhD with a focus on the responsible use of AI within organisations, as well as Nicola Spurdle from our own TVNZ Digital team. Some fantastic practical insights, and a lively discussion as we accelerate our transformation to becoming a digital-first media business.

Super proud to share that our coverage of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games reached a record audience on TVNZ. Over 2 million Kiwis - that's more than 40% of the population! - watched on TVNZ 1, along with almost 1.4 million streams on TVNZ+. It's been an honour to be able to showcase some incredible New Zealand athletes on the world stage, and to bring Kiwis together to watch and be inspired by their achievements. 🥇 🥈 🥉

Lots of laughter and a few secrets spilled today as Celebrity Treasure Island hosts Bree Tomasel and Lance Savali hosted a behind-the-scenes panel chat with some of this season’s contenders for our TVNZ team. Comedian Bubbah, Actor JP Foliaki and National Treasure Suzanne Paul are definitely three to watch when the new season premieres on Monday night at 7:30pm on TVNZ 2 and TVNZ+. 🏝 #CTI

I can’t wait for the start of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games – which gets underway tomorrow morning from 6am with the Opening Ceremony live on TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+. We have five pop-up channels on TVNZ+ as well as primetime coverage on TVNZ 1 hosted by legend Dame Sophie Pascoe and Scotty Stevenson. It’s going to be 12 days of amazing viewing and incredible moments, and hopefully we’ll see plenty of Kiwis on the podium! 🥇 🥈 🥉 Good luck to all our Paralympians – I know you’ll do us proud! #Paralympics #Paris2024 #OneTeamOneSpirit #TVNZSport

We’re celebrating the first year of our TVNZ+ Sports Hub – with kiwis loving the live and free access to some fantastic sporting action. Our viewers racked up over 15 million streams over the 12 months, with NZ Cricket 🏏 a highlight over the summer months, and the recent UEFA EURO 24 football ⚽ also proving super popular with 5.25 million streams! With sports adding another drawcard to the existing depth and breadth of shows, news and movies we have on the platform, TVNZ+ really does have something for all New Zealanders. We had the pleasure of hosting NEW ZEALAND CRICKET at our Tāmaki Makaurau office this morning, as they announced their summer international schedule. BLACKCAP Tom Latham and WHITE FERN Rosemary Mair were on hand to chat to media, and our TVNZ team, about all the exciting matches coming up. With highlights including a three-test series to kick off the BLACKCAPS home season starting at the end of November, and five T20 international double headers featuring the BLACKCAPS and the WHITE FERNS in March, kiwi sport fans are in for a great summer of live and free cricket on TVNZ+. ⛱ 🏏 #summerofcricket #tvnzsport

The theme for Matariki this year is heri kai – the feast of Matariki. Our Tāmaki Makaurau kaimahi came together yesterday to share kai and celebrate, hosted by our Manukura Māori Scotty Morrison (pictured here with GM Commissioning Summer Wharekawa). The lunchtime get together was a great opportunity to connect, learn a little more about the Matariki star cluster and the meaning behind the Māori New Year celebration, and to look forward to the year ahead. Mānawatia a Matariki e te whānau!

Today our kaimahi had the opportunity to listen to panel of speakers sharing their lived experience and personal stories of living with neurodiversity. A big thanks to Natasya Jones, Jo Copeland and Sonia Gray who shared their personal stories to build awareness of the impact of neurodiversity across the the wider community, as well as giving some insights into how we can all make the workplace more inclusive for all. And thanks to our own John Campbell for facilitating the kōrero in his inimitable style! #neurodiversity
