This is freakin' cool. Our son spent last week being an "Aquanaut" & learning about marine science with a group of year 8 students. As you can see, they spent time on the water, in the lab, at the shore edge, in a Kongsberg Maritime ship simulator & piloting an "Aquabot" around a series of challenges in a swimming pool! Educational programmes like this are fantastic & it was great to hear how engaged & inspired the kids were about what they'd learnt. Why yes, I am a bit jealous.

It's getting easier to run AI chatbots locally on your own computer. I was talking with someone yesterday who recognised that AI chatbots could help them review some documents - but the documents were private & they didn't want to share them on the internet. Nomic AI's gpt4all is a free AI chatbot you can run for free on your own computer: https://lnkd.in/gzgMp7Z2 You can point it at a directory of (TXT & PDF) files, which it can review & answer questions about. It's really easy to download & setup - unlike many of the other local AI tools, which are built for software developers.
