Since the delivery of Ward Demolition Ltd's new SANY excavators, they have been thoroughly impressed with the updated models they’ve received. We were on site at their new project at Eden Park, New Zealand, and sat down with Dalton Ward where he dives into the reasons behind their decision to add three additional SANY's into their fleet - Now totaling 8 SANY excavators. He goes into what makes SANY the perfect fit for their demolition operations moving forward - From reliability to value, it’s clear why Ward Demolition is embracing the SANY revolution. Today, Dalton and Houston Ward from Ward Demolition Ltd took delivery of their brand-new SANY SY18U and SY50U Mini Excavators - This SY50U is fresh off shipment, and one of the first new updated SY50U models to be sold in New Zealand - After checking out all the updates and improvements, they couldn’t walk away. The SY18U? It’s got that "Starbuck seal of approval" – inspired by the extraordinary influencer himself, James Starbuck. This mini but mighty excavator is destined to become an on-site influencer of its own. My first personal LinkedIn post (scary 🫣), but this is something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately and wanted to share. When I first joined Vertu Equipment, I’ll admit—I wasn’t entirely sold on the idea of SANY: a Chinese construction manufacturer in the New Zealand and Australian markets? Not so sure about that. Like many, I had been influenced by the perceptions and assumptions others held about the brand. However, my perspective has completely changed over the past four years. Having had the opportunity to visit multiple SANY factories across China, I’ve seen firsthand the level of innovation and precision that goes into their manufacturing process. From the meticulous welding techniques to their cutting-edge paint processes, it’s clear that SANY operates on an entirely different level. Not only this, but the sheer investment and time poured into their R&D departments across SANY's multiple core business units are unlike anything I’ve seen from any other brand. What stands out most to me is their dedication to customer feedback (I talk about this all the time). Every year, SANY releases new models that reflect improvements suggested directly by our end-users. It’s this commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and staying ahead of the curve—particularly in the areas of electric and new energy technologies—that convinces me SANY is set to become one of the world’s top construction machinery manufacturers. Vertu Equipment had the privilege of hosting a remarkable 10 day trip to China for our valued customers from both New Zealand and Australia. This centered around Bauma China 2024, but we took the opportunity to visit several SANY factories across the country. Our clients experienced firsthand the innovation and strength behind SANY's extensive range, from excavators, cranes, telehandlers and material handlers, to a showcase of upcoming models and the opportunity to operate first hand. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who joined us. Last week, members of the Terramotive team had the privilege of exhibiting at the New Zealand Electric Mobility Conference. Collaborating closely with our parent company, Vertu Group, we proudly showcased cutting-edge SANY technologies, including the fully electric 8x4 concrete mixer and the SY19E EV mini excavator.
