We are so honoured to win the Supreme Business Award at the Wānaka Business Excellence Awards, alongside the category award wins in Business Sustainability & Environmental impact, and Community Contribution. Our team is humbled to stand on the shoulders of some true pioneers— zero-waste visionaries who saw things with clarity and courage, even when it wasn’t easy or popular. Since 2000, we have been leading the way to zero waste with passion, hard work and dedication. Together, we have created something special with and for our community—a place to connect, learn and take action for the environment, before it’s too late. Thanks to Wānaka Business Chamber and sponsors for a fantastic celebration, and congratulations to all the finalists, your mahi is what makes Wānaka so epic. Wastebusters, in collaboration with @queenstownlakesdistrictcouncil, created a series of free, downloadable resources to help businesses towards #zerowaste. There are 7 industry specific guides, an office guide and a general business guide with practical solutions for waste minimisation and next-step resources, all now available on the QLDC website. We've also made it easy for you to talk to staff with links to how to communicate your waste minimisation strategies to your team and wording to include in your staff inductions. Take a look; even if you don't see a guide for your industry, you may pick up a couple of tips that could make a difference in your business. https://lnkd.in/gUQ_5748 This work is part of Wastebusters Resourceful Communities programme, a series of circular economy events, workshops, and campaigns supported by Queenstown Lakes District Council Zero Waste District programme. #circulareconomy #betterbusiness
