Dali Hostels

Loved LOVED this hostel! quite easy to get to from the train station and a 15min walk to Dali old town, but there's also a really frequent free shuttle service on offer to get you from the hostel to the old town and back. very clean, wonderful views from the roof and various public spaces and balconies. great social area, and I'm so happy to have made so many friends there. the hostel also offers various group trips to main sights around Dali for really reasonable prices - the best thing is that the tour guide also takes pretty professional photos so you get your memories recorded throughout the trip! the hostel also has cute cats and a big fluffy dog!

The environment is very good, and the boss is also very nice. It is also very close to the ancient city, just a few steps away. I stayed here for two days and went to the ancient city and Erhai Lake. The boss also helped me rent the electric car. The children are also super cute and really cool!

I stayed in the dormitory (6 people) who was cleaned every day. Privacy guarantee with thick curtains. There is a garden with a ping pong table, and also a rooftop. I recommend this hostel. Lockers would be fine for safety. But there is storage for the bags and belonging. That's a nice touch.

I came early morning around 9.30 and the boss let me checkin right away. It was raining. The room is super clean. They provide washing machine but no dryer. They have place to hang the laundry at the rooftop. Minor: the bathroom is a bit old.. there is visible stain and the toilet flush pressure is not strong enough to flush your business. So you have to flush many times until everything flushed. Someone left their ‘business’ during my stay. Its hard to find this house.

In a small alley of the ancient city, the boss even upgraded me to a quadruple room. The environment is very clean. There is a big dog downstairs. The boss’s disposable items are one yuan each. The five-yuan popsicles are particularly delicious.

The guy at the front desk was very competent. He took him upstairs, got the bedding, and gave him mineral water. The room had a large floor-to-ceiling window. It was very comfortable to open the curtains and look at the yard. The bed was wider than normal, 1.5 meters, which is in line with the hotel standard. The beds in each room are the same size, and there are steps to get up and down, which is very safe. There is a cupboard at the door to store luggage. The bathrooms are paved with stones, which are non-slip and beautiful. There are two bathrooms, shampoo, shower gel, and hair dryers. There is also a hot water bottle with hand sanitizer. It is recommended to put your luggage at the front desk first, walk around the double corridor in the morning and afternoon, then wash clothes and take a shower in the afternoon, and then go shopping at night view in the evening. There are clothes racks in the room and clothes drying in the corridor. The wind is strong and the sun is good. I did it in one afternoon. There are tables and chairs on the first, second and third floors where you can enjoy the breeze and eat. There are also strange paintings on the staircase wall. At night, you can lie on the top floor and watch the stars, the Milky Way and the fireworks by Erhai Lake.

The service is very thoughtful and the supporting facilities are complete. The environment is good, the store and the homestay housekeeper are very nice. The most important thing is that there are many snacks around, and it is convenient to go to the center of the ancient city.

There is a small shelf on the bed, which is very convenient for small things to carry with you. The bedside lamp is warm yellow, not a cold white lamp, and the small details are well received; and the lamp has an independent switch, so there is no need to worry about the socket being occupied and the lamp and charger being used at the same time. In general, the hardware facilities are very good. Environment: The location is very convenient, just about 100 meters outside the south gate, and you can walk a few steps to the main road of the ancient city. There are various restaurants outside the youth hostel, and there are many choices. There is also a super cute cat in the store, who will act coquettishly and ask for touch when he sees you. Friends who like to pet cats can pay more attention to it! Service: The boss is very young and nice, and the service is warm and thoughtful. When I went back to get my luggage, I was in a hurry. The boss took the initiative to ask if I was in a hurry, and even offered to give me a ride, which saved me a lot of time and successfully caught up with the subsequent itinerary! I really thank the boss for his enthusiastic help~

Hygiene: There is an aunt who cleans every day, so the youth hostel is very clean. Service: The guy at the front desk will help you go upstairs, and will also remind you about check-in matters when you check in. Very good, recommended.
