Taipei Hostels

My parents thought that the hotel’s location was excellent. There were a variety of restaurants and stores near the hotel. It was not too far from the MRT as well. The tea provided in the room was good. It seems that the guest rooms have been updated as the room that they stayed in was better than the last time. The front desk staff members were very kind.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the location is fantastic, the overall experience was mixed. The hotel is situated in a vibrant and funky neighborhood, full of small street food restaurants that give it a great local charm. If you're into exploring authentic, lively spots, this area is perfect. However, the hotel itself is quite worn down. It’s marketed as a ”Design Hotel,” but the room I stayed in was far from what I expected. My 12m² room felt cramped and humid, and the lack of room cleaning, while not a major issue for me, could bother some guests. The floor was noticeably worn out, which added to the tired feel of the place. If you're just looking for a place to sleep and plan to spend most of your time outside, it works. But if you're after a comfortable stay with modern amenities, this might not be the best choice.

I’ve stayed a lot of places in this has by far been my worst experience in years. I think as far as the location and amenities and the cleanliness everything is fine. But I tried to cancel my booking they refuse because somebody is snoring so loudly I can’t sleep from 2 AM to 7 AM. It’s impossible for me to sleep. so then I finally get a few hours of sleep I’m awake and I am packing my stuff getting ready to leave and they promptly come right at 12 o’clock as I’m already leaving, the system they have in the checkout has them want to charge me. The front desk was pretty rude to me as I was leaving I told them this isn’t fair. Also, as I was leaving, there was a European guy there was working for the place. He was doing his daily activities and I was offering to clean the bathroom by taking out the trash that was overflowing and he freaked out at me and told me to put it back. let’s just say it was a horrible night and even worse but luckily the dumplings that were right outside put me in a better mood. I wasn’t going to leave a review, but I noticed that the Fun Inn (that was nothing but fine. I asked a few people if they were busy they were just sitting around on their phones and they all said they were) had already sent Trip.com a message that I had checked out a couple minutes late. Well, I just wanna let everybody know that this could stay anywhere else other than that place.

A bit tucked away so had some difficulty trying to locate it the first time I arrived but there is a large night market about two minutes away which made the stay worth it. Very clean, kind and helpful staff with an efficient check in/out service

The hotel is very clean and the room that we booked for a couple of days was awesome. Staffs were kind and can speak english. They were very helpful and they won't let you wait longer when you arrive at the hotel. Their service was great. Complete toiletries, beautiful room. The bathroom is so spacious with hot and cold shower. There's a glass division, where the shower area is separated to the toilet area. Nice 🛁 and very comfortable. Our bed was so comfy and perfect for a rest after a long day of sightseeing and walking around taipei area. We had a wonderful experience in beauty hotel and definitely will come back again. By the way, the hotel has a nice small lounge and a section where you can make a coffee for free. Plus they also has a water refilling station so you don'tneed to buy water from outside. The location of the hotel is also perfect because it is near to Jiantan train station and surrounded with lots of restaurants, bakery, coffee and tea shop and 7 eleven.

For a limited time to spend in Taipei, Rido offers excellent location and value for money services. Located right in font of Red Line MRT Daan Park Station, you can whizz your way through Taipei easily to the Not To Be Missed attractions such as Taipei 101 (3 stations away) and from there Xinyi Shopping District, Elephant Mountain trail (4 stations), YongKang small shops District (1 station), Taipei Main Central Station (4 stations), CKS memorial (2 stations), Taipei Museum (3 stations), Ximending (5 stations w transit at Taipei Main Central Station). And of course u can remain on Red line to reach Shilin Night Market and Tamsui Riverfront up North without transiting.

Taipei Main station is very close if taking a bus or train. There is a convenience store downstairs. Unfortunately staff members are rather cold and unfriendly. You have to say hello and good morning to them ALL the time. And you will feel awkward because the staff will be surprised by the civil interaction you exhibited. Lack of English skills cannot be an excuse. There is something called ”smile” and EVERYONE knows how to say Good Morning or Hello. Even a 5-year old child knows it.

Reasonable in price. The location is excellent, with a Starbucks and a convenience store nearby. The room is clean and the plug is suitable for people from different countries. However, the air conditioning is really weak. So, if you are sensitive to heat like me, then it might be a bit problematic.

Need to carry your luggages up to the level via lift; can be a hassle if you have too many luggages as the lobby is at level 10-11 (forgot which). The room is very basic; u got to take your own toothpaste/brushes at check in lobby as they don’t provide inside the room. Location is great though; just opposite XMD and downstairs there is a 7-11. We tried to ask for late check out but can’t. Overall a alright stay, won’t leave you very much deep impression. My kids were sitting at the arm chair and touched the curtain, lots of dust came down too 😅😅😅 so cleanliness wise need to improve for sure. Only plus point is the awesome location & affordable rates!

The best hotel, great location, and near the train station. There's a lot of restaurants and shops around the area since it's located exactly at Ximending. A great place to stay with affordable rates, a clean room, and free coffee vouchers 🥰 I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you. Pam & Reg ❤️
