I had an amazing stay at Yutang Luxury Resort Hotel, located in the heart of Dali’s Gu Cheng. The location itself is a huge plus—nestled within the charming old town, it’s easy to take your time and explore the vibrant surroundings.
The hotel serves a simple but delightful breakfast, and I found it to be just perfect for starting the day. It’s not overly extravagant, but it’s incredibly satisfying.
One of the best things about the resort is its proximity to bars and local nightlife—just a short walk away, you can enjoy the lively atmosphere of Gu Cheng until late.
The staff at Yutang were attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with any request. Their hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, this hotel is a great choice for anyone visiting Dali. It offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and warmth.

We arrived in Dali close to 11pm but staff was still around to assist us with check in, which we were very grateful for. The hotel was amazing - great location, sparkling clean, complete with all the amenities you would need after a long day of travel. Every hotel staff we encountered was extremely hospitable. Highly recommend this place if you’re ever in Dali!

Great Location: 10-minute walk to the ancient city.
Comfortable Room: Bed comes with a heater, and the shower has hot water with high pressure, but no smart toilet bowl.
Friendly Staff: The staff were welcoming, and we received a free upgrade to a better room.
Simple but Nice Breakfast: The breakfast was basic, but enjoyable.
Nice Decor: The hotel has a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere, with tasteful decoration.
