Baoguang Guihu Cultural Tourism Area: A Symphony of Nature and History

Baoguang Guihu Cultural Tourism Area is a national 4A-level tourist attraction located in Xindu District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It combines natural scenery, historical culture, and leisure and entertainment. The tourist area consists of Baoguang Temple, Guihu Park, and Guihu Forest Square, each with its own unique features. Baoguang Temple: As one of the "Four Great Buddhist Temples" in southern China since the Qing Dynasty, Baoguang Temple attracts many visitors with its profound religious culture and magnificent architecture. The temple covers an area of 120 acres and includes buildings such as the Mountain Gate Hall, Heavenly King Hall, Relic Pagoda, Seven Buddha Hall, Mahavira Hall, and Arhat Hall. The Arhat Hall is particularly famous, housing 500 golden statues of Arhats, each with its own legendary story. Guihu Park: Guihu was built in the early Tang Dynasty and was originally named "Nanting." It was later renamed "Guihu" because of the famous Ming Dynasty scholar Yang Shen (also known as Sheng'an), who planted many osmanthus trees here. Guihu is a garden with a rich cultural heritage and an elegant environment. The park preserves 850 meters of ancient city walls, as well as precious cultural relics such as Eastern Han Dynasty pictorial bricks and Tang Dynasty gold and silverware. Guihu is also a famous lotus viewing base and osmanthus viewing site in China. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, the park is filled with blooming lotuses and the fragrance of osmanthus. Guihu Forest Square: Adjacent to Guihu Park, Guihu Forest Square provides a leisure space for visitors to connect with nature and enjoy tranquility and relaxation.
