Chongqing City Walk—Day 1

I am usually busy with work. I finally have a few days off. Without much thought, I decided to go to Chongqing. We didn't even make a plan the night before we left. We just wanted to go with the flow. To save on accommodation, we decided to take an early flight. We left Guangzhou at 7 am and arrived in Chongqing at around 9 am. After we arrived at the hotel and settled in, we decided how to spend the next few days while putting on makeup. The hotel is 100 meters from Jiefangbei, so naturally, our first stop was Jiefangbei. Chongqing at 10 am is still a little cold. The sun hasn't fully risen yet, and there aren't many people in the square. However, you can still see many tourists from all over the country, like us, who put on makeup early to experience the city. We started our city walk at Jiefangbei and first arrived at Shibati. At Shibati, we experienced the perfect fusion of ancient and modern architecture. It has a sense of hierarchy and doesn't look abrupt. It's perfect. At Shibati, we visited the air-raid shelter, received patriotic education, and took some very satisfying photos. It was a great experience. After leaving Shibati, we ate authentic Chongqing noodles. They were very cost-effective and came in a big bowl. We continued on our way. We walked all the way to the Mountain City Trail. There were many tourists on the Mountain City Trail. The trail is not wide, and the narrowest part can only accommodate two people at a time. However, there are many places to take photos and check in. At each check-in point, everyone shows their skills. After eating Chongqing Jianghu cuisine in the evening, we went to Hongyadong. I had only seen it in pictures before, and I was already shocked. When I saw it in person, I was even more shocked. We walked along the road and the river from high to low. The further down we went, the more people there were. There were also many professional photographers. At first, we refused a girl, but after walking for a while, a boy came up to us and introduced himself. Since we are not professionals and don't have any equipment, we thought it would be worth it to have a professional photographer take some commemorative photos for us. He took more than 30 photos for us, and we carefully selected more than a dozen. We were very satisfied. After a day, we walked more than 28,000 steps.
