Trek to the foot of Cradle Mountain, Tasmania

The journey to Cradle Mountain typically starts from Ronny Creek car park, where there is a registration booth for all visitors to sign in. Take the Overland Track to get to Crater Falls. The bushwalking track is very well maintained. There is a platform which is raised to keep visitors away from the mud and grass. It is even lined with anti slip chains for the cold winter mornings. Platform is quite narrow though, and good for walking in single file only. The terrain is mostly flat with occasional steps, which makes for an easy walk.
