It is a Buddhist temple with a long history. Wanfo Temple was built during the Nanzhao period and was originally called Dangshan Temple. It was built by Master Wuji, who also built Dayuntang and founded 36 temples. The temple is located on Shengying Peak of Cangshan Mountain, with Qingbi Stream on the left and Mocan Stream on the right. The forest is lush and the scenery is beautiful. Wanfo Temple was once prosperous during the Ming Dynasty. As the main temple of the 36 temples of Gantong Mountain on Shengying Peak of Cangshan Mountain, it was given the imperial dragon seal by Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, and was known as "the most famous mountain in Cang'er." Despite the vicissitudes of life, Wanfo Temple still maintains its tranquility and mystery, attracting many tourists to visit.
