It took 5 hours to go up the mountain, more than 2 hours to stop at the top, and more than 6 hours to go down. The whole journey took 14 hours and 30 minutes... It was already 13:30 pm the next day when we got off. It’s not difficult to walk from the 5th station to the 7th station (I was still happy at this point, Mount Fuji is nothing more than that) From the seventh station to the eighth station, the number of people gradually increased, all rushing to the top of the mountain to watch the sunrise (I was a bit tired, this section felt like the longest) From the 8th station to the 9th station, there are many people climbing from the mountain house, and there are even more people. The 9th station starts to get a bit crowded when we reach the top of the mountain. There are so many people that we can’t even walk. I feel generally good going up the mountain. The road is indeed difficult to walk. To be precise, there is no road at all... But apart from breathing a little and resting while walking, it is acceptable during the climb. The higher you go up, the harder it is... Going down the mountain was the beginning of my nightmare... My feet hurt, my knees hurt, my legs were weak, and I was shaking even when I stood... Not to mention it was a gravel road like this... I was afraid of falling, so I used trekking poles to steady each step.
