On January 4, 2025, I drove to Maofeng Mountain. I highly recommend the local specialties and beautiful scenery. The following route is also very suitable for family trips. Maofeng Mountain Forest Park The highest peak in Guangzhou, with an altitude of 534.9 meters, is known as the "second lung" of Guangzhou. Transportation Take Line 14 or Line 3 to Taihe Station, then take a taxi to the "Tianhu Parking Lot" in the scenic area. Save your energy and start hiking directly to the scenic spots. Tickets The park ticket is CNY 10 per person, and CNY 10 per vehicle. Recommended hiking route Parking lot → Tianhu (Taxodium distichum forest) → Red Maple Garden (maple leaf check-in point) → Mountain Top Square (520 Stone check-in point and write a wish strip) Hiking time: 2–3 hours Dining: There are many farms and local specialties at the foot of Maofeng Mountain. I recommend [Lijing Garden], with an average cost of CNY 60 per person. Roasted chicken, homemade tofu, and roasted ribs are must-try dishes.
