Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Garden Travel Guide

Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Garden is a must-visit for both international students in Japan and tourists. Although it might not compare to the Shanghai or Wuhan Zoos, it stands out among the zoos I've visited in Japan. The entrance fee is only 500 yen, and if you want to enjoy the night view from the tower, it's 640 yen. There's also a 2000 yen ticket that includes access to various attractions inside. Middle school, elementary school, and kindergarten children can enter for free, which is very generous compared to the height-based pricing in China. The zoo is quite large, featuring a variety of animals from small to large, divided into sections like the large animal area, marine animal area, snake house, and fish house. Most exhibits are indoors, so you won't have to worry about the summer heat while viewing the animals. The animals enjoy excellent living conditions with air-conditioned rooms and fans. Gorillas and tigers even have their own playgrounds, and elephants have fans to keep them cool. The cleanliness is impressive, with no unpleasant odors. In contrast, animals in my hometown's zoo endure harsh conditions, exposed to the sun in small cages with minimal water, and the zoo smells terrible in summer. It's truly a pity for those animals. To get there, take the Dongshan Line subway and get off at Dongshan Park Station. Exit from Exit 3 and walk straight for three minutes. It's incredibly convenient. I was thrilled to see my favorite flamingos and penguins! #Flamingos #Zoo #DongshanZoo #Nagoya #JapanTravelGuide #LifeDiary #DailySharing #Travel #WorkingInJapan
