🏚Louis House is the residence of Mr. Louis Thomas Leonowens, the son of Mrs. Anna Leonowens, an English teacher in the court of King Rama IV. 🧱The house is a two-story half-brick, half-wood structure with a hipped roof in colonial style. The hall features a seven-sided bay window extending to the front, surrounded by wooden louvered windows. The property is shaded by large trees and includes a single-story office building that once stored the safes of Mr. Louis's company. 🏠This house served as both Louis's residence and his office. In 1919, he passed away in England, and the Forestry Department took over the operations of the British Borneo Company and Louis T. Leonowens Company, including this house. 🏡In 1939, the house became the office building of the Forest Industry Organization and a residence for its employees. It has since been uninhabited and deteriorated over time. Currently, it is under the care of the Northern Forest Industry Organization. ♨️Louis T.
