Zhongshan Bridge and the Yellow River

In 1372, Song Guo Gong Feng Sheng built a pontoon bridge 7 km west of Lanzhou City, and five years later, Wei Guo Gong Deng Yu moved the pontoon bridge to a location 5 km further west, naming it 'Zhenyuan Bridge'. In 1385, the bridge was relocated to its current position. In 1907, the Qing government utilized German and American technology to construct an iron bridge over the Yellow River and named it 'Lanzhou Yellow River Iron Bridge'. In 1942, it was renamed to its current name. Now, it has developed into a tourist spot, a bridge that only allows pedestrian traffic and serves as a key attraction in downtown Lanzhou.
