Date at Dawei Mountain in Liuyang, wandering in the sea of flowers, strolling in the clouds

Hunan Liuyang Dawei Mountain, a national forest park and national 4A scenic area. The mountaintop is home to wild azaleas, cloud brocade azaleas, purple azaleas, and splendid azaleas, which are concentrated between altitudes of 1300 to 1600 meters, covering an area of more than 10,000 acres. Every May, when the azaleas bloom, the mountains and fields become a red ocean, a spectacular sight. Visitors can stroll in the clouds and wander through the sea of flowers. Summer has begun, and if we don't go now, the flowers might start to fade. We arrived at the top of Dawei Mountain, but the weather was not kind at first. The fog was thick, with visibility only about ten meters, and it seemed we might really have to 'look at flowers in the fog'; then came the drizzle that just wouldn't stop. Cold, very cold; disappointed, very disappointed! Around two o'clock, a gust of wind blew, the fog dispersed, the rain stopped, and the sun came out! It was time for the azaleas to perform! The mountains were covered with blooming red azaleas. We were treated well by Mother Nature, and it made us incredibly happy!
