🟢The Oculus This is a special place. To be honest, I didn't plan to come here at first. I was just walking around Times Square, and then I got hot and tired and wanted to find a Starbucks to have a drink. After I finished my drink, I was stunned by the scene in front of me. Looking at the bustling crowd, my curiosity drove me to get closer to it step by step. • 🟢World Trade Center Transportation Hub This building was built on the ruins of 9/11. After 12 years and $4 billion, what is now presented to the public is a comprehensive hub building that integrates a shopping center and a transportation hub. • 🟢It was designed by the famous Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. With a soaring bird as the basic shape, it connects 11 subway lines in New York City and the New York-New Jersey Railway. The entire building structure, from the outside, looks like a white dove of peace, spreading its wings, ready to fly. This station, completed in 2016, is extremely cool. When you walk into the station, it is all white, from the inside to the outside, made of white steel pipes and glass. Natural light shines through the skylight at the top onto the pure white columns, and the elegant and holy modernity is unforgettable. When you walk out of The Oculus, you can see the "Ground Zero" of the original World Trade Center site. • 🟢I can't say how good it is, but the feeling it gives you when you go in is indescribable. It's a bit shocking, and the whole person feels empty inside. Many people sit on the ground here, and it's a good place to escape the heat in summer.
