The building was built in 1927 and was the location of the Ningbo Post Office at that time, reflecting the prosperity and importance of the Old Bund at that time. The history of the Ningbo Post Office can be traced back to 1878, when Li Hongzhang commissioned the customs tax department to try to run the Qing Post Office. Ningbo established a post office in 1879, but the specific address is unknown. In 1927, the post office moved to this building in the Old Bund and became the location of the Ningbo Post Office at that time. The Old Bund Post Office is a two-story brick-concrete building with an exterior corridor. The front facade is influenced by classicism, divided into five sections on the left and right, and three sections on the top and bottom. The building is decorated with brick arches and blue and red bricks. The first-floor arcade on the front facade has Ionic capitals cast in concrete, with delicate moldings and exquisite workmanship.
