Fuji Safari Park

#2024wish Easy to get to via public transport and easy to navigate as an English tourist. Buses are frequent from train station and timetable is very clear. It opens at 10 however many of the enclosures/extras do not open 11 so we wandered around looking at the porcupines, hippos, leopards before going on safari tour where you could feed the bears, lions and camels. This sells out very quickly so getting there for when it opens is a must if you want to do this, purchase tickets at gate when you enter. Food options are good, and obvious again if you don’t speak Japanese although I have noticed while holidaying here, if you choose tofu ramen it does not mean the soup broth is vegetarian. The food place opposite the house of dogs offers ‘make your own bread’ which looked brilliant if open. Options to pay and buy food to feed the animals intent main walk around but were good for only ¥100 per pot, tongs wee provides ans there was plenty of hand washing facilities and anti bac spray. Note it is on the side of a mountain and is a bit hilly in parts. Brilliant day out!!
