Visit Borobudur in Yogyakarta and stay at this super cost-effective hotel in the city center!
Yogyakarta is a treasure travel destination in Indonesia. The two ancient sites, Borobudur and Prambanan Temple, are well worth a visit! You can also visit Mount Merapi, a volcano that many people have listed as a life goal, in this kingdom of volcanoes. Mount Merapi is the most popular volcano in Indonesia and is very spectacular! The opposite Mount Merbabu is relatively safe, where you can stargaze, camp, and wait for the sunrise while seeing the four most famous volcanoes in Central Java. It's a great value!
When traveling to Yogyakarta, I recommend not missing this great value hotel in the city center, Tentrem Yogyakarta. When we arrived at the hotel lobby, there were Javanese artists playing and singing, and the atmosphere was great! You can see many celebrities and stars who have stayed here on the hotel's celebrity wall. The hotel has great facilities, and I highly recommend the pool and spa. At the end of the hotel's pool is a bamboo forest. When swimming, it seems as if the end of the water is connected to the bamboo leaves, which are swaying like stars. The pool is shrouded in a chivalrous spirit like that of the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Swim, take a bath, steam in the sauna, and get an essential oil massage at the hotel to relax for a day, and then start your local exploration itinerary. The hotel has a variety of activities every day. In addition to going out to visit ancient sites and natural scenery, we also participated in the hotel's batik experience, which was a very interesting experience.
The best and most authentic Chinese food in Yogyakarta is definitely at the Chinese restaurant in Tentrem Hotel!
Without exaggeration, the Summer Palace Chinese restaurant at the Yogyakarta Tentrem Hotel is the best in the city, because I have eaten Chinese food at all the luxury hotels in Yogyakarta. The roast duck and steamed grouper at Summer Palace are especially delicious, and they are amazing! In addition to the exquisite and delicious lunch and dinner, the hotel's dim sum is definitely a blessing for dim sum lovers! The Sunday buffet dim sum, plus tea, taxes and fees, is about RMB 100 per person. You can eat from 10 am to 3 pm, but dim sum is only available on Sundays.
After eating and drinking, of course, you have to go out for a stroll. I recommend the place I think is worth walking around near Yogyakarta city: Prambanan Temple is a large Hindu temple complex built in the 9th century. It is also a famous world cultural heritage in Yogyakarta and the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia. It has suffered multiple volcanic and earthquake damages. There are about 50 existing temple ruins. The construction time of Prambanan is roughly the same as that of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and there are many similarities in architectural forms and sculpture themes.
The walls of Prambanan are full of exquisite reliefs, and the content is mostly taken from the Indian epic "Ramayana". Compared with Angkor Wat, although they are telling the same story, the artistic style and character images are quite different. The weekly performance of Ramayana will be staged as scheduled in front of the Prambanan Temple. I have watched "Ramayana" many times in India and Southeast Asian countries, but only watching it in front of the Prambanan Temple with a history of thousands of years has the most atmosphere. The Prambanan Temple is sacred and dreamy after nightfall! Eight years ago, it was moved indoors because of the rain. This time finally made up for the regret of the last time.
Yogyakarta, Indonesia is so much fun! It has everything from volcanoes to ancient sites, and the hotels are great value for money!
Yogyakarta is a curious name that makes people curious. It's a hidden gem with low prices and smooth visa procedures! Yogyakarta is located in the south-central part of Java, Indonesia, bordering the Indian Ocean to the south. It is a city in the south-central part of Java Island, Indonesia, and the capital of Yogyakarta Special Region. The city is one of the oldest cities on Java Island and was once the capital of the Yogyakarta Kingdom.
Many people have listed seeing a volcano as one of their life plans, and Yogyakarta, the kingdom of volcanoes, is the perfect place to do it. Mount Merapi is the most popular volcano in Indonesia and is very spectacular! The opposite Mount Merbabu is relatively safe. You can watch the stars, camp, wait for the sunrise, and even see the four most famous volcanoes in Central Java. It's definitely great value for money!
Borobudur, one of the four ancient wonders, and Prambanan, the largest Hindu site in Indonesia, are two cultural heritages built in the 8th-9th centuries. They are definitely must-visit places in Yogyakarta, Indonesia! In addition, the hotels in Yogyakarta are also great value for money. We stayed at the Tugu Hotel Yogyakarta in the city center this time, which was very good! Looking at the hotel's celebrity wall, you will find that many celebrities and stars have stayed here, and of course we will not miss it! I highly recommend the hotel's swimming pool and SPA. Don't miss swimming in the hotel, taking a bath, steaming in the sauna, and getting an essential oil massage. Relax for a day!
