They usually end up in Malacca City or Jonker Street, but I suggest going further down (and closer to Singapore!) to Freeport A'Famosa Outlet, nearby a little town called Tampin. Freeport A'Famosa is an extensive area of over 80 fashion brands, and it's latest and heavyweight tenant is none other than Coach. You can't miss it because the whole outlet is built into a decommissioned Boeing 747 jumbo jet! It towers over the whole area and makes a really cool background for a photo opportunity. It's also free to enter because technically, the whole plane is a shop. Just be prepared to join a queue as many people flock here to see the jumbo jet. I suggest going as sunset approaches because the view is stunning! Overall, not to be missed when making a roadtrip or daytrip to Malacca, Malaysia. Very unique. ✨ Known as Porta de Santiago, the name A’famosa means the famous in Portuguese. It was originally built by the Portuguese. The place is quite clean, well kept and well maintained by the local authorities. Best time to come is early morning when it is still cool and breezy while not much people around. Located at the foot of St Paul hill, there is stairs leading to St Paul Church behind the place. 👀 During my last visit, there was even a busker singing inside the church remnants at the top the hill. Taming Sari Tower The highest point in Malacca, the tower rotates as it rises, offering a panoramic view of Malacca. Malacca Straits Mosque The sunset here is beautiful on a clear evening. Long pants are required to enter the mosque. We didn't go inside, but instead chose to take a yacht tour. The view of the mosque from the sea is even more spectacular.
