HAMSUM Hookah Lounge is a Korean establishment that has made its way across the river, with branches in Taiwan and Vietnam before coming to Hong Kong. Located on the top floor of a building, it offers an excellent view. Although the space is not large, the decor is quite atmospheric, complemented by a large projector TV that continuously plays Korean K-pop music. #freehotelstay It’s my first visit to Basao. Basao specialises in brewing different kinds of tea, tea latte and cafe food. The vibe is very zen with the wooden wall decorations and furniture, creamy white wallpaper. There are not many people during my visit so it is relaxing. We ordered oolong latte, kombucha and tofu matcha cake. The tofu matcha cake is a MUST. It’s so pillowy and subtly sweet. Cozy and nice place for an afternoon tea break , very nice drinks and cakes.

It has almost everything in one small area including shopping, entertainment, leasure, cultural and even horse racing. ℹ️ Fun Fact: Causeway Bay has one of the most expensive rentals in the world. ♥️ The Experience: Too many areas and landmarks to describe as this place is too vibrant and too "crowded" too.. Definitely not for the faint hearted. We started with lunch 🍲 at HeSheEat Cafe @ Causeway Place which is a smallish shopping Centre specialized mainly in claw claw games. Anyway, the Salmon Croissant 🥐 and Pork Burger 🍔 with Korean Rice was amazing. There are just crazy lotsa shopping around here so we decided to visit the icon "Times Square" 🛍️ which caters more for the upmarket demographics. However, there's like Uniqlo on the opposite side and various other fashion retail brands too. Choices are unlimited! Tip: 💡 One restaurant here that is the must try is the Michelin Star 🌟 Mak's Noodle 麥奀雲吞麵世家(銅鑼灣) nearby and the Wantan Mee 🍜 here is simply amazing 🤩. We even went back for second rounds during the evening. Amidst the crazy shopping and crowd, we decided to visit "Happy Valley Race Course" 🐴 (which is approx 800m by foot) during the evening. .. just to bump with the crowd and since they only have races on Wednesdays every week. Just too crowded to go in (unless you have VIP access). Anyway, around this area there are more upmarket F&B and also a nice posh French restaurant here called "The Amigo". To chill after a long 20k+ step🚶count, we went to a few bars near Yiu Wah Street. There's S Bar, Ruggers, etc here which serves on the tap Hoegardeen and some other premium beers 🍺. We particularly like S Bar. Cool place to chill and the manager and staff there are super friendly and nice too ☺️. 🔚 Conclusion: Causeway Bay is technically not that big as we found ourselves going round in circles 😶 and circles 😶. It was actually very fun walking around Causeway Bay and I bet anyone patronizing this place will find something they like. If you like Roast Goose.. Do visit the Michelin 1 Star 🌟 Kam's Roast Goose Restaurant. Do also visit Happy Valley Racecourse if you happen to be in HK on a Wednesday. It's more a rave party than horse racing 😂.
