Great camping spot 🥰
#campingfun
This summer, I camped at Camping Geysir in Iceland, and it was an experience that combined the thrill of the outdoors with the awe of natural wonders. Located just a short walk from the famous Geysir geothermal area in the Haukadalur Valley, this campsite is the perfect base for exploring one of Iceland’s most iconic spots. The price for a tent pitch was about 2000 ISK per person (around €13), which is quite reasonable considering the proximity to such a major attraction.
Setting up my tent with the steam rising from the nearby geysers in the background was surreal. The campsite itself is well-maintained, with clean facilities including showers, a kitchen area, and a cozy communal space where I met travelers from all over the world. Waking up in the crisp Icelandic air, I could hear the distant eruptions of Strokkur, the active geyser that shoots water up to 20 meters high every few minutes.
From the campsite, it’s only a 5-minute walk to the Geysir area, where I spent hours marveling at the geothermal activity. The site is free to visit and truly one of nature’s spectacles. In the evening, I took a short drive to the nearby Gullfoss waterfall, just 10 kilometers away, and witnessed the golden light of the setting sun hitting the powerful falls—an unforgettable sight.
Camping Geysir is a must for anyone looking to immerse themselves in Iceland’s dramatic landscape. It’s the perfect blend of adventure and comfort, with the raw beauty of Iceland right at your doorstep. 🌋⛺ #trip #CampingGeysir #IcelandCamping #GoldenCircle #NatureAdventure #TravelIceland

Iceland, the most beautiful sight at the end of the world, a 6-day 5-night travel guide. Iceland is surprisingly fun💎, majestic, gentle, and clear, it is the place where the scenery I've seen with my own eyes is even more beautiful than the great shots on Instagram. To be honest, the travel guides for Iceland are quite general, you know where to go, but it's not clear what to do after you get there. So I've tried to write my guide as detailed as possible💎, friends who want to go to Iceland remember to keep it, and just follow it to play.

🌌Essentials for life
-Really bring a thermos! (It's easy to drink cold air outside every day, and it's easy to get a stomachache, you can make a cup of ginger tea to warm your stomach after returning)
-Warm packs! (When going out to chase the Northern Lights, you really will shiver from the cold at night, put a few warm packs in your pocket, it really will be much warmer)
-Face masks! (Repair masks are really needed, every day the face is dry and red from the wind and rain, and Iceland is also quite dry, you must hydrate in time🥹)
-
💠Dressing Guide
⬆️Upper body: Quick-dry underwear (very important, can prevent catching a cold after sweating) + warm layer (fleece, thin down) + softshell jacket (can be worn when the wind is not strong and the weather is clear) / hardshell jacket (must add when there is rain or going to waterfalls)
⬇️Lower body: Warm layer (add when the temperature is low) + softshell pants + hardshell pants (must add when there is rain or going to waterfalls)
👟Shoes: Waterproof hiking shoes
🎩Hat: If it's a wool hat, it's best to have a windproof layer, lining
🧦Socks: Quick-dry socks/wool socks, double-layer socks are recommended
-
⚠️The premise of everything is to be warm and waterproof, many waterfall attractions or weather require waterproof clothing, gloves must also be brought, it's very cold for hands; bringing a windproof face mask is really important, if you don't bring it, the wind will really blow into your stomach...

Visiting Geysir and Stroko Geysers with Guide
Geysir and Stroko Geysers
The Great Geyser is located in the geothermally active Haukadalur Valley. It is the largest geyser in Iceland and a must-see attraction on the Golden Circle route.
Solheimasandur plane wreckage/solheimasandur
This plane wreckage is one of the most representative elements of Iceland. It has been lying here lonely and quiet for half a century, and has become a world-class internet celebrity check-in point.
In 1973, a US military plane made an emergency landing on this black sand beach due to lack of fuel. Fortunately, no one was injured or injured. It’s not easy to get here. You can only park your car in a parking lot 8 kilometers away from the wreckage and go there on foot. You can search for the name of the scenic spot and navigate directly there;
Studlagil Canyon/studlagil canyon
The valley of the basalt landform seems to be flowing from the sky. The giant hexagonal rock pillars are vertically inserted into the center of the earth by mysterious forces. It also seems to be growing out of the center of the earth, and the tall and straight valley of the Watching Glacier;
katla ice cave/katla ice cave
The deep blue and clear 10,000-year-old ice cave seems to be freezing countless secrets of the earth, and it is also like a tunnel leading to outer space. The ice at the entrance of the cave changes and shines with light of different colors as time and sunlight shift, making it super cinematic;
Reynis black sand beach/reynisfjara
The very famous black sand beach (not sand, but small black stones with volcanic ash) is hidden in danger but magically attracts people to get close to it (there are always news of accidents of people being swept away by the waves). It is called the devil's territory as if it is the end of the world. ;
hengifoss waterfall
The exposed rock formations around the waterfall are hot and scarlet, like a gaping wound on the earth, crying in pain and despair. You can hike under the waterfall;
diamond black sand beach/diamond beach
The iceberg melts here, as if a large piece of diamond has been scattered by a mysterious alien passerby. The crystal clear reflection reflects the dazzling light, and shimmers at night, as unique and beautiful as a dreamy wonderland;
8 Reykjavik Cathedral & Rainbow Trail
The most famous church in Iceland, like a pair of invisible hands gently playing the organ, is a landmark building in the capital;
aurora
The aurora in Iceland is so beautiful and intoxicating!!
Iceland also has Red Beach, Blue Lagoon Hot Spring, Straw Hat Mountain, Dinjandi Falls, Cape Ratlar Bird Watching Cliff, etc., which can all be connected in a self-driving route.
It can be reached by direct navigation. If you are chasing aurora, the aurora season is from October to April of the following year! Have you been to Iceland?

Reykjavik winter citywalk route
❄️In Iceland's winter, the days are short and the nights are long, the sun doesn't rise until 9:30 in the morning, so there's no need to get up early to watch the sunrise, so we easily set off from the hotel and started the city walk in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland.
🌅9:30 Start from the Sun Voyager to watch the sunrise, determine the sunrise time and hotel distance one day in advance, and set off in advance.
🕍10:15 Go to the City Hall and Tjörnin, where there is a three-dimensional map of Iceland, and you can also learn about Iceland's geography. Half of Tjörnin is frozen, and you can have a snowball fight on it.
🏰11:30 Arrive at Hallgrímskirkja, the landmark building of Reykjavik, climb to the top of the church, you can overlook the entire Reykjavik, it really feels like being in a Nordic fairy tale, it's breathtaking.
🚶♀️12:30 Walk along the Rainbow Walkway and enjoy lunch.
🕙14:00 Visit the Tintin Museum, the only museum in the world that specializes in Tintin collections, it's very unique, adults can go too, go and experience it for yourself!
🛍️16:00 Go shopping on Laugavegur Commercial Street, most shops close at 18:00.
🍽️18:00 Enjoy dinner.
🎇19:30 After dinner, take a walk to Harpa Concert Hall, a building with a unique exterior.
🎉20:00 Return to the hotel to rest, or go in search of the Northern Lights.
🌈On the second night in Iceland, we saw very strong Northern Lights.
Although Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland, it is not large in area, and city walking is very relaxed.
🛍️About shopping:
Prices in Iceland are very expensive, but I highly recommend the "BLUE LAGOON" volcanic ash cleansing mask! It's not tight at all, it's very easy to use! The Silica Mud Mask, after using it, the skin is smooth! It's the best cleansing mask I've ever used! The airport shop is more cost-effective than the city shop!
1️⃣Geysir geyser erupts very frequently, we watched it several times, and even once it erupted twice in a row;
2️⃣Gullfoss and Silfra Fissure are both very shocking;
3️⃣Be sure to wear ice claws, otherwise some very slippery places can only be walked on the ground;
4️⃣There are many groups going to the Golden Circle, and the whole Golden Circle is generally a day trip.

Experience the shock of the Great Geysir in Iceland: the unique charm of alien landscapes
When you step into the realm of the Great Geysir in Iceland, it's as if you've instantly traveled to an alien world! Its geographical location is unique, located in the Haukadalur Nature Reserve in southwestern Iceland, about 300 kilometers from Reykjavik. In this vast lava area, you will witness the wonders of nature and feel the unique charm of the landscape.
The Great Geysir is like a dazzling pearl on the earth. Every once in a while, it erupts, reaching a height of 30-70 meters, and the spectacular scene is breathtaking! Behind this magical scene is the result of underground lava activity. When the lava heats the water underground, the water is pressurized and sprayed out of the ground, forming this deafening geyser.
Around the Great Geysir, there are many other geysers and hot springs, such as the Strokkur geyser, Geysir geyser, etc., which together constitute this wonderful alien landscape. Here, you can explore the mysteries of the geyser, feel the steaming water vapor and the deafening eruption sound, as if you are having an intimate conversation with nature.
Summer is the best season to watch the Great Geysir. The weather is relatively stable, and you can easily embark on this adventure. You can choose to rent a car or join a tour group to reach your destination quickly and conveniently. When visiting the Great Geysir, be sure to pay attention to safety, do not get too close to the eruption area, to avoid burns.
Come on, let's embark on this journey of the Great Geysir in Iceland together, explore the mysteries of the alien landscape, and feel the magical charm of nature!

Geysir in Iceland
#wheretogo
Geysir Geothermal Area is the most interesting stop on Golden Circle route – definitely must see!
Such a cool place to visit. Steam amd warmth coming from the earth everywhere and it smells like sulphur.
There are also a lot of hot springs and other little geysers and you can feel there the power of the earth.
The great geyser is unfortunately not more active, but there is a small one that performs every 5 minutes on average.
There is a nice restaurant and a gift shop next to the attraction.

The geyser Geysir
is about 1.5 hours drive from Reykjavik. Because Iceland's geothermal resources are abundant, there are many large and small fountains everywhere, but the fountain crown must be this geyser. Geysir every 7
