Rottness Island - Windswept Beauty and Unforgettable Encounters
#voyagevibes
They say the most beautiful destinations come with a price, and Rottnest Island proved no exception. This paradise, renowned for its breathtaking coastline and turquoise waters, greeted me with winds that roared at 40 km/h. As I stepped foot on the island, I found myself at the mercy of nature’s whims—hair flying in every direction, the gusts playing a relentless tug-of-war. But even the wildest winds couldn’t overshadow the island’s stunning beauty.
The journey there, however, was no walk in the park. Battling through rough seas with waves that seemed determined to toss our ferry around, I replayed every dramatic shipwreck scene in my mind at least a hundred times. For anyone prone to seasickness, let this be your sign to come prepared. Bring motion sickness pills, essential oils, mint candies—anything to help calm the storm within you. Trust me, the journey is worth it, but only if you make it there with your stomach intact!
Once on the island, I was greeted by the true stars of Rottnest: the quokkas. These adorable, smiley creatures have a charm that melts even the hardest of hearts. Imagine a fluffy, oversized rodent with a permanent grin, and you’ve got yourself a quokka! Snapping a selfie with one is practically a rite of passage here.
As I wandered further, I was struck by the sheer clarity of the ocean surrounding the island. The water shimmered like liquid crystal, its transparency so vivid it felt as though I was staring at a living, breathing sheet of glass. In that moment, I understood the magic of Rottnest—a place that makes you pause, breathe deeply, and envy the island’s leisurely pace. A reminder that even the busiest city dweller can learn to slow down and simply admire the view.

A Little Piece of Heaven Called Rottnest Island
It's a 45-minute ferry ride from Perth. I always fall in love again and again with this place whenever I'm here. The cute quokkas are indigenous to Rottnest, the cycling routes are scenic, and the skies are unbelievably blue. I don't think photos ever do justice to the true beauty of it. Western Australians are very fortunate to have this place to visit as much as they like. So envious!

Western Australia Tourism | Jay Chou's same style check-in place, a dream trip.
| Jay Chou's same style check-in place, a dream journey. Dear friends, today I want to share with you my joyful trip to Western Australia. 😉
🏨We stayed at the Westin Hotel💖
⚠️I would like to remind everyone that it is best to reserve 6-7 days for your trip to Western Australia so that you can have more fun. Our stay was less than 5 days this time, so there were a few places we unfortunately couldn’t visit. 😔
DAY1: Rottnest Island
🏝️At 8:30 in the morning, we set off from the city and took the boat that only leaves once a day to Rottnest Island. It felt particularly fulfilling to listen to the business and cultural explanations along the way on the boat. On the way back, you can reach the town of Fremantle. If I remember correctly, the boats to and from the pier leave every hour. You can check the time and buy tickets on the "Rottnest express" website. Moreover, here and only here can you see the super cute smiling kangaroo! It just melted our hearts. 😘After returning to Perth, we went to the same blue house in Jay Chou's "Pink Ocean". We checked in successfully and were very happy. 💙
DAY2: Northern route tour💕
🏜️We set off at 9:30 in the morning and arrived at the first stop - White Sand Dunes 1.5 hours later at 11:00. We rented a sandboard here and it was great for taking pictures and sandboarding. We didn’t want to leave. 😜
✊We set off after 12 o'clock and arrived at Pinnacles in a few dozen minutes. This place is mainly for checking in and taking pictures. Although the stay is not long, the unique scenery is also impressive. 🪨
🍚We arrived at the lobster factory 20 minutes later. The lobster tasted very good and the beach outside the restaurant was also amazing. Enjoying delicious lobster while admiring the beautiful beach is simply amazing. 🦞
🏖️Jurien Bay, every piece of sea in Western Australia is picturesque. There is also a mini playground next to the beach, where the children had a lot of fun. 💗
🏨After visiting the beach, we drove for 4 hours and checked into the Geraldton Town Hotel. We went to shoot the starry sky and the Milky Way at night. Our director's starry sky shooting skills were really top-notch, allowing us to see the extremely stunning starry sky scenery. ✨
DAY3: Jay Chou’s same style pink lake
🏨1 hour later we arrived at Jay Chou’s same pink lake - Hutt Lagoon, which is also the largest pink lake in Australia. It really depends on the weather when going to Pink Lake. When the weather is good, it is full of girly pinks, which is super charming; if the weather is bad...but it doesn't matter, the process of checking in is also very beautiful. 😉 After checking in, we returned to the town of Geraldun for lunch and a short rest, and then drove more than 4 hours back to Perth.
⚠️Although we did not go on the fourth and fifth days, I still want to send you the guide and hope that you will have the opportunity to experience it.
DAY4: Margaret River Line
🚗Depart from the hotel in the morning and arrive at Margarita Winery 3 hours later. Have lunch and visit the winery to experience the rich wine culture. 🍷
🏊Arrived at Sports Rock after ten minutes of walking and feel the magical charm of nature. 🧗♀️
🚚Depart from Sports Rock and arrive at the same Busselton Pier in "Wife's Romantic Travel" one and a half hours later. Take the same small train as if you have entered a romantic fairy tale world. 🚂
🚗We will return to Perth city in about 1 and a half hours.
DAY5: Wavy Rock Line
🏨Depart from the hotel and arrive at York Town 1.5 hours later. Visit York Town and feel the peaceful town atmosphere. 🏘️
🏠Depart from York Town and arrive at Wave Rock 2.5 hours later. The spectacular view of Wave Rock is breathtaking. 🌊
🥣After lunch, take photos and check out Wave Rock and Hippo Yawn Rock to create beautiful memories. 📷
🚗The return journey takes 3.5 hours to get back to the city.
Dear friends, Western Australia is really a charming place. You must come and experience it if you have the opportunity. I believe you will also fall in love with the beautiful scenery, delicious food and everything here. 💖

Must-visit destination - Rottnest Island
Rottnest Island is a fantastic getaway just off the coast of Western Australia. I went there aiming to take a selfie with some cute little quokkas, but ended up falling in love with the beautiful beaches
and clear blue waters. There are different ways explore the island, but I will definitely recommend taking the bus for the best experience. Rottnest island a perfect spot for a day trip or a weekend getaway!#100waysoftravel

Rottnest Island, my checklist done!
A trip to Rottnest Island was worth it, first get to close to wild quokkas. They were so cute and friendly, try to selfie with them and maybe they smile with you😊 Rent a bike and cycle around the island worth it with different view of scenery for every different spot. Sea water as clear as crystal, had a swim in the cool sea water and get close to dolphins. Found out that there’s a sea taxi ( Rottnest taxi) if you wanted to have a nice from top. Conclusion, a must visit when you visit Perth, Western Australia#australiatrip
