Cityscape Serenity at Kuala Lumpur's River of Life
#cityscape #100waysoftravel #kuala_lumpur #cityviews
In the late afternoon, we visited the River of Life in Kuala Lumpur, a hidden gem in the heart of the city. Offering a picturesque view of the city’s oldest mosque, Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad, the area blends history with modern urban life. Although we visited during the dry season and missed the famed water fountain display, the calm atmosphere was still a refreshing escape from the city's usual hustle and bustle. Strolling along the riverbanks, we enjoyed the peacefulness of this quiet spot, surrounded by the cityscape of Kuala Lumpur, making it a worthwhile stop in our urban adventure.

A hidden gem in Kuala Lumpur, a building is a huge oil painting
In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, besides the Petronas Twin Towers and McDonald's, there are many great photo spots📷
For example, the River of Life🌟, this river is not too much to see, but the murals on the walls amazed me... especially the blue-green one🦋
📷Photo spot:
Across the river, the blue house has stairs, you can walk up, and the person and the mural are cleverly integrated, a very dreamy picture💫
It is recommended to wear bright clothes, 👗red dress is the best! Oil painting🖼️
🐳Photo tips:
The photographer should zoom in from across the river
Bring a zoom camera if possible📷
I forgot to bring it, so I took it with my phone, with 5x zoom
💡But be careful, it's a bit old and a bit high, so be careful
The River of Life is very close to Independence Square, so you can visit both places together~

HOLD BACK THE RIVER
#malaysiatrip
The River of life is where two rivers converge (The Klang & Gombak River), and it used to be dirty, muddy, and murky. Thanks to some agencies, The River of Life project was then started in an effort to clean up the Klang River and create a bustling, commercially valuable waterfront.
Getting There - It took about 6-15 minutes of driving (depending on the traffic flow) and approximately 2.7KM from KL Sentral.
Attractions - Strolling next to the riverfront and being attracted to the beautiful surroundings is ultimately worth it.
Hotels - There are few hotels around that area. I would recommend travellers to stay at Pacific Express Hotel.
Food & Restaurants - Many street food and restaurants can be found nearby this area.
Shopping - Just beside the River of Life there's a market called Central Market. Here visitors can buy many types of souvenirs at the cheapest price.

Wesak Day 2024
Time of zen and peace. It’s a day where we remember our loved ones, appreciation of just being here, events that are happening, they are all happening for a reason, just stay positive and trust the universe. For this too shall pass. Happy wesak day. May we celebrate our differences and diversities. We are here but temporary. Our problems are insignificant if you realise how big the universe is

I have walked alone the riverfront many times and I still do it and enjoy bringing tourist friends here to admire the beautiful surroundings

River of Life
Great place for a stroll especially at night when they turn on the mists, the ambience is really out of this world. The recreational walk help to convert an otherwise dead space into a visitor attraction, which enlivens the waterfront. Something different to experience. The tiny musical fountain was meh though. It’s quite on the weekdays too. Very near from Masjid Jamek Station.

This is very famous spot and located in the center of Kuala Lumpur. Also it’s close to most tourist destinations. This place is a 5-minute walk from Merdeka Square, Sultan Abdul Samad, Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad, and Chinatown.
Here you can walk near the river, visit the most important tourist areas or make shopping.
There are also places where you can try many Malaysian local dishes. I especially recommend you to go to the old market square clock tower and try these delicious dishes.
