|The last battle of liberating Hainan was witnessed here. ✅Located on the northeast side of the Yulinzhou Scenic Area in Dongfang, Hainan, and between the Basso Port loading and unloading area, stands a monument labeled 'Immovable Cultural Relic of Dongfang City', with the front inscription 'Basso Port (the site of the last battle of liberating Hainan)'. ✅The back of the monument has the following description: ✔️In late April 1950, the 43rd Army, 129th Division, 127th Division, 380th Regiment of the Western Attack Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Hainan Island Campaign, and a regiment of the Qiong Zong First Brigade, advanced to the Basso area to engage the enemy and annihilate the defenders of Xiaoling, Huangning, Beili, Basso Village, etc. On May 1st, the 129th Division of the Liberation Army pursued and defeated the enemy who wanted to escape by ship at Basso Port, achieving victory. The entire territory of Hainan Island was liberated, and the Basso battle was the last battle of liberating Hainan.

Dongfang City is the westernmost part of Hainan, where you can see the most beautiful seaside sunset in Hainan. As the first stop of the Hainan West Line tour, the weather was good today. Before the sun went down, we climbed up to the lighthouse mountain and waited silently under the Dongfang lighthouse, hoping the sun could break through the clouds. Finally, we were fortunate enough to feast our eyes on the beautiful sunset at the westernmost point. Why is it called Yulinzhou? When we first arrived at the seaside, the sun was still blocked by the clouds, and only a faint light could be seen. Even so, the sparkling sea surface was like covered with fish scales. My wife recently showed me a painting, the sea under the moonlight was covered with such delicate ripples, and we were discussing where the sea waves are so gentle and delicate. Encountering a sudden storm in the deep sea of the Indian Ocean, the black waves rolled; last winter's East Line tour felt the huge waves hitting the huge rocks on the shore at Heishitan; soaking in the clear water and white sand of the Indian Ocean was like floating slowly in the emerald; the wide waves of the sea on the west side of Lingaojiao seemed to hesitate to surge to the shallow beach for fear of startling the children on the beach...
