Korean Sliced Noodles
Seomun Market Delicacies Sweet Pancakes
Delicious Sliced Noodles Next in Line
Also one of Daegu's Top Ten Delicacies
Seomun Market is quite large, stretching across
The sliced noodles form a street of their own
One stall next to another, forming a row
Finally attracted by the Red Bench stall
Red benches scattered beside the independent stall
Along with the steaming noodle stall
Auntie busy scooping noodles and preparing ingredients
Foodies casually sitting, shouting their orders
This atmosphere and scene are full of stories
But the market auntie doesn't know English
I had to observe how the locals order
Found out this stall only sells sliced noodles
Haha, that makes it much simpler
Happily went to the auntie, gestured 1 with my finger
Auntie nodded and pointed to the seating area
One person, two chairs, one as a table
The sliced noodles in water, quite good-looking
Clear soup noodles with greens, chili oil, and scallions
Sprinkled with white sesame seeds for added color and aroma
A side dish of spicy kimchi is a standard
Stirring while it's hot, served a bowl
The broth is clear and sweet, the white noodles are delicate
This bowl of sliced noodles may not be extraordinary
But like our market's plain noodles
Always a bowl of delicious, never-tiring food
Eating while experiencing the old market culture
Thinking about what to eat next
Thailand's Ratchaburi_Potta_, a hidden forest-themed cafe.
Fresh Orange Cold Brew
Cold brew, topped with oranges
POTTA in Ratchaburi
Originally part of a pocket plan
A small white house covered in greenery
Attracted by such photos
When visiting, there was some hesitation
Walking on a small industrial road
With weeds and bungalows on both sides
Even saw an abandoned recycling yard
After a short distance, turned a corner
Finally saw the POTTA sign
On a wall covered in greenery
Just like the photos, a small white house
Hidden in the sunlight and greenery
Opening the door, the aroma of coffee wafts
Floor-to-ceiling windows let in natural light
Falling on wooden tables and chairs
Surrounded by wooden forest
Like a fairytale forest house
Fresh Orange Cold Brew, sweet with fruit
But more of a coffee aftertaste
Inside, it's very quiet in the afternoon
Outside, leaves flutter in the breeze
Take a sip of refreshing coffee
Taste a piece of homemade cake
Unknowingly, an entire afternoon passes

A Day Trip to Ha Long Bay, Vietnam's World Heritage Site, Encountering the Guilin on the Sea.
Ha Long Bay is located in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, in northeastern Vietnam. It is about 150 kilometers from Hanoi, which takes approximately three hours by car. It is the most famous scenic spot in Vietnam, known as the Guilin on the water. You can take a boat to see the limestone caves. We joined a day tour from Hanoi, visited the Surprise Cave, and saw the spectacular limestone formations✨️. We also went to Hero Island, where you can climb up to overlook the beautiful scenery of Ha Long Bay😊. We took a cruise to get there, and enjoyed delicious seafood on board💕. The whole experience was great❤️.

Xianggong Mountain 相公山 Yangshuo 阳朔县 in autumn colours
Xianggongshan Scenic Area, Hebaoshan Village, Yangshuo, is 28 kilometers from Yangshuo center. We left our hotel near the Shanhu Lake Guilin at about 10am on 19th November 2024 temperature was about 18C (we had clear skies and beautiful cooling weather) and started to make our way out of Guilin town towards Yangshuo which is to the south of Guilin.
It took us an hour just to cross over to Yangshuo district, as Xianggongshan is on the way to the city centre of Yangshuo, it makes sense to stop at this place before we proceed to check in to our new hotel at Yangshuo. The moment we cross the border to Yangshuo, the landscape began to change, the karst mountains became more and more prominent on both sides of the road. We enjoyed the car ride as the beautiful landscape unfolded before our very eyes. After another 20 mins drive, our guide started to turn off the main road and we enter into a small village, most tour busses will not be able to make it to this road, so if you want to come over here do arrange for a private transport.
Another 10 mins driving along farms (dotted with orange, sweet, small lime-well known in this area), and rather quickly we arrived at the base of the mountain where the ticket counter is located. Our team do consist of elderly tourist and if you are 70 yrs and above you will need to sign an indemnity form. The climb is "chicken-feet" for those who are climbers but for those of us who are not, may find it a "tad" out of breath. There are benches for you to rest along the way. Having said that the eldest in our group, a man of 70 years old was the first to reach the observation deck. We did notice quite a few elderly were also climbing up the mountain. As we were about to reach the 1st viewing platform, an elderly lady of about 60 years old gave us the encouragement to continue climbing as we will be reaching soon. At that junction where we stopped to take a breather, she advise us to take the right side as it will be nearer to reach the platform.
True enough, took us just a few more turns and we reach the lower level viewing platform, view was already breath taking. (bear in mind we were already out of breath-guess we were not really breathing at that point of time) - took us about half an hour to reach this level, but I am sure the "sporty ones" will only take half the time. We had a glimpse of a few very young able climbers passing us by during our initial climb, never saw them again, I guess they must have been up and went down without ever meeting us again.
The view of the Lijiang River and the mountain range is just so incredible (checkout the pictures). I would really recommend the climb. For those from 55-75 yrs old healthy individual, I do not think it will be a problem to do this climb. Worth every effort to scale this small mountain for the view. I do hope you will take this challenge.

Dark Side of Hong Kong
Recently, I joined a tour called the "BEYOND THE GLITZ & GLAMOUR: HONG KONG'S UNTOLD STORIES DARK SIDE OF HONG KONG" by Hong Kong Free Tour to discover and learn more about the other side of the city's glitz and glam.
During this ~2.5-hour tour, the tour guide touches upon many deep-rooted societal issues that have plagued the city for decades, including poverty, housing situations for the impoverished, gentrification, as well as, the interconnectedness of the triad with drug addicts and new immigrants.
In particular, the topic of subdivided housing stood out to me the most. Due to limited spaces available for housing, Hong Kong has recurringly been topped as having one of the world's most expensive property markets, subsequently leading to the rise of small living spaces, i.e., subdivided units. To show how subdivided units look to the participants, especially since most are tourists, the tour company brings the participants to a mock unit, which was indeed an eye-opening experience.
Besides touching on heavy-hearted issues, the tour also includes a short tea break at Lui Seng Chun to learn about traditional Chinese medicine and a visit to a local NGO to see how it operates to assist those less fortunate individuals to achieve upward mobility.
If you are traveling to Hong Kong and want to experience something beyond the typical tourist attractions, I would highly recommend that you add this to your travel plan! 😊

The Beauty of Beiwudang Temple in Lüliang, Shanxi
Beiwudang Temple's beauty lies in several aspects:
- Historical and Cultural Beauty: Built during the prosperous Tang Dynasty, Beiwudang Temple has a history of over 900 years. It is an ancient temple that integrates Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, with a profound historical and cultural heritage.
- Architectural Beauty: The entire temple faces south with a strict and elegant layout of four courtyards. The central axis buildings, including the mountain gate and side halls, are symmetrically arranged, creating a harmonious and natural atmosphere. The temple's structures, such as the multi-treasure pagoda and the Great Buddha Hall, are ancient and magnificent in design, with compact structures and reasonable layouts, showcasing the high level of traditional Chinese architectural art.
- Natural Scenery Beauty: Beiwudang Temple is backed by the Beiwudang Geological Park, which preserves the natural landscape of the Helan Mountain. The area features numerous peaks, unique landforms, and a striking Danxia landform. The mountain is often shrouded in clouds and mist, adding a sense of divine and spiritual aura to the temple.
- Religious Atmosphere Beauty: Beiwudang Temple is a famous temple in the northwest, a sacred Buddhist site, and a tourist attraction. Its serene and elegant environment attracts many visitors. The temple's morning bells and evening drums, along with the melodious Buddhist music, create a peaceful and harmonious religious atmosphere.
In summary, the beauty of Beiwudang Temple is a perfect combination of historical culture, architectural art, natural scenery, and religious atmosphere, providing a sense of tranquility, peace, and solemnity.

First Time Traveling to Thailand: A Diverse Paradise of East and West.
Sawadee ka, first visit to Bangkok, Thailand✈️ Second time in Thailand😆
Due to delays yesterday, we arrived at the airport close to 10 PM and reached the city around 11 PM🤣 The night view from where we are staying is amazing. Bangkok is dazzling at night🏙️ and bustling during the day🚗🚗 I thought it would be very hot, but waking up to 30 degrees, it doesn't feel too hot✨ From the moment we boarded the plane in Hong Kong yesterday, I noticed that half of the passengers were not from Hong Kong but from all over the world😎😆 This truly is an international city and a tourist haven😎
There are many temples along the way, with the Erawan Shrine being the most famous. Walking and dining here, you can see various performances and shows🎇✨ The streets are lively, with a mix of Thai and Western (Christmas) vibes in the capital🏙️. Since we also have business to attend to later, we first arranged to rent a car and head straight to Hua Hin beach resort🏖️🏖️ Tomorrow, we officially start our beach vacation, and the day after, we'll return to Bangkok for more sightseeing☀️🌡️

DAY 31: Fun in Zentsuji Temple City
Zentsuji City is one of the three holy places in Shikoku. It is the birthplace of Kobo Daishi. This year coincides with the 1,250th anniversary of the birth of Daishi. During this period, everyone who visits the sutras has special bead seals to collect, and I also bought them here. The cassock that is exclusive to Zentsuji Temple will be used as a worship item to fulfill your wishes at the 88th Temple.
Departing from the hotel in the early morning, we planned to visit the scenic spots near the city. In the 31st year of Meiji, "Nogikan" was the headquarters of the 11th Army Division. Today, historical relics from that time are still preserved for tourists to visit. Nogikanori is The first division commander served from October 31 to May 34. During this period, he was stationed at Zentsuji base, so this building is called "Nogikan". The items displayed in the museum include: old army weapons, old army The 11th Division's related materials, records of past division commanders, division commander's office and reception room, old army and navy related materials (Sundew War, Pacific War and Kamikaze...etc.), Self-Defense Forces related materials, the collection is quite large. It is rich and will be accompanied by a dedicated tour guide. It is currently the residence of the 14th Brigade of the Ground Self-Defense Force. There are guards standing guard at the door. You can enter by simply filling in the registration book.
In addition, there are Kagawa Prefecture's "Gokoku Shrine" and the famous "Ofuyama Tumulus" nearby. This tumulus is the first keyhole-shaped tumulus discovered in Shikoku. It was built in the early sixth century. There is an iron gate at the entrance, so you can't go inside, but you can climb the stone stairs to the top of the ancient tomb and you can see the fire on the mountain, Nakayama, Mt. Osamu, Mt. Hoshi, Mt. Zentsuji, the five-story pagoda of Zentsu-ji Temple, Sanuki Fuji and Se The Todohashi Bridge is in full view.

EXPLORE THE FAMOUS WHEELER’S CAFE IN PENANG SINCE 2014
#deliciousfood #旅行酷体验
Wheeler’s cafe is one of the longest & successful cafe in Penang, operated since 2014. It has great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food. Nothing more to add. Yes the food is a bit more on the pricey side, but quality, vibe and staff are totally worth it. The tiramisu cake is amazing!
This place is always busy and crowded on weekends. If you are a person who likes the noise and hyper person that you might be a fan of this location. The staff here are very friendly and very nice. Join their membership to get 8-12% discount. They had recently reopened in late Oct 2024 after renovations done.
You can visit Yamanakako without driving by yourself (transportation sharing)
My favorite thing about this trip is this first picture
(I will recommend a route without turning back later, save it for yourself)
This stay: Hotel New Century (Mount Fuji in Figure 2-3 was taken from the room in the early morning)
Most accommodations near Lake Kawaguchi provide free pick-up and drop-off services (hotel<->Lake Kawaguchi Station). If you make good use of this service, there will be no hindrance to your trip to Mount Fuji!
The biggest problem without self-driving: You have to accurately calculate the bus and itinerary arrangements. It is undeniable that you need to do your homework in advance ~ (but the bus arrival time on Google Maps in Japan is very punctual, so even if there is no timetable, don’t be nervous)
Lake Kawaguchi-Lake Yamanaka
📍Wait for the bus at stop number 6 of Kawaguchiko Station (Picture 8-9)
There are sightseeing buses F1/F2 at this station that stop at every scenic spot, but I took a regular bus and got off at Asahigaoka (about 40 minutes). I walked to the opposite side and fed the swans (Picture 4), and then walked slowly Go back to the entrance of the tourist center and wait for F1/2, then take the tourist attraction - Hiranohama (Picture 5-6). Anyway, walk around the lake, play and take photos. If you feel tired, just check the bus time and stop location on Google Map. You can take a ride to the next scenic spot. In fact, you can have something to eat or take out a drink at The Park along the way along Lake Yamanaka. You can take a slow walk to Shiratorihama to watch the uncle feeding the swans and take photos while walking, and then walk to Deguchiyama-iriguchi Station. The smoothest way to get on the bus and return to Kawaguchiko
It is recommended to start early in the morning and go to the scenic spots in Shimoyoshida in the afternoon

Shanghai Trip very demure
This is the first outstation trip with the love of my life and shanghai is a great city for it. Its romantic enough with all those glowy yellow lights on the bund and all the beautiful colors glistering on all the skyscrapers, its a very astonishing experience for us, the views on the other side felt very cyberpunk while behind us is good old vintage shanghai. When you thought day time it already looks amazing, night time will blow your mind, especially at the moment when they open the lights, when you get to see it with your own eyes, its just speechless. It will be a trip where it engraves in my memory forever.#awesomepic #couplestrip #shanghai #china #旅行酷体验

Cliffs, Caves, and Connections: A Solo Traveler’s Journey Through Hualien
#solotravel #100waysoftravel #localtour #backpacker
#wonderfulview #旅行酷体验 #100種旅遊方式
As a solo traveler, I often seek out experiences that allow me to connect with nature and meet fellow adventurers. My journey to Hualie, was no exception. I signed up for a local tour that promised to unveil the breathtaking beauty of Taroko National Park, one of the most stunning landscapes.
Our group gathered early in the morning, a diverse mix of backpackers from around the globe. We exchanged names and stories over steaming cups of local tea, the excitement palpable as we loaded into our van and set off toward our first stop: the mesmerizing Qingshui Cliffs.
As we approached the cliffs, the towering limestone walls rose dramatically against the blue sky, their steep faces plunging into the azure waves below. We disembarked and made our way to a viewpoint, where I was captivated by the sheer beauty of it all. Standing there, I felt like a tiny speck in a grand masterpiece painted by nature. Every so often, we caught glimpses of the North Link Line trains whizzing through the tunnels of Daqingshui and Chongde, their bright colors a stark contrast to the rugged landscape.
Next, we visited the iconic Buluowan Bridge. The sight of it spanning the gorge, framed by lush greenery, made for an unforgettable photo opportunity. I snapped a few pictures, and soon the camaraderie among our group grew as we posed together, laughing and sharing our travel dreams.
But my favorite part of the day was yet to come: the Jioucyu Cave. The trail leading to it wound through dense forests, and as we hiked, our guide shared stories of the indigenous tribes that once inhabited this area. The cave itself was a marvel—a natural sculpture formed by centuries of water erosion. Inside, the play of light and shadow created an ethereal atmosphere, and we took a moment to soak it all in, our voices hushed in reverence.
Emerging from the cave, I noticed how the group had become a close-knit circle. We shared travel tips and stories, finding common ground in our love for exploration. We even joked about our various travel mishaps, a reminder that even the most adventurous spirits can face challenges on the road.
As the day drew to a close, we made our way back to the van, the sun setting behind the cliffs, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple. I felt a profound sense of gratitude, not only for the stunning landscapes we had explored but also for the connections I had made with fellow travelers.
Hualien had gifted me more than just a visual feast; it had offered a sense of belonging among kindred spirits, all drawn together by the allure of nature and adventure. As I headed back to my accommodation that evening, I carried with me memories of laughter, breathtaking views, and the promise of future journeys yet to come.
